80 edge is the most you'll ever get in poker Most of the time you ride right about 60 It is fairly easy to get into the winners column but to become a substantial winner is a different story brTruth is that most people who made lots in poker found high stakes private games where they had an obvious edge And played a solid strategy they rarely venture from Comment from : lloyd parry |

I’ve been a semi pro in poker for 10 years, there’s two rules for winning at poker Play for money you can afford to lose against people who are worse than you I’m not a great player, I will admit that But I know my limits and play games where I know I’m a favorite Part time, I’ve made 10k a year min with minimal studying If you put a little effort in, build off your wins, and stay within your limits, you will win! I’ve taken $100-200 after multiple breaks and turned it into 10k several times The trick is not joining $100-200 tournaments because you think you are hot shit nown Comment from : Michael Gray |

Most people don't know but if you're a great player you win only 55 of the hands Comment from : Don Omar |
It's easy don't play unless you have an unfair advantage against the people your playing against Not smart enough to compete with smarter people? Easy just find a way to "cheat" what's the difference? either they take your money or you take theirs it's that simple All the pros "cheat" why not you Don't be a looser, find a way to gain that advantage or go broke Comment from : D |

Negrenau missed the obvious reference when referring to Bilzerian about Andy Beal who is worth $10 billion and played against ONLY the best for 3 years It is entirely possible that Bilzerian is accepted into games on the West Coast among people whom he would be by far the poorest He can find games where the lowest individual net worth among the 40-50 players who rotate through is $200 million Comment from : MarkH10 |

Grandma Betty ftw🤣🤣 Comment from : james martinez |

3:13 Lex made quads, won a huge pot and snap-left the table, and the players got mad at him for hit-n-running 😂 Comment from : PatrickWhatUp |
The only way Bilzarian has won $50m playing poker is if his opponents are corporate raiders who have gotten into the habit of saying, "I can't believe you caught my blufff yet again! Anyway, say hi to your dad for me" Comment from : David Hill |
To give you a sense of perspective, if you have a 70 of winning, you'll do it all day, every day If you have three hands in a row where you're the 70 favorite, you'd absolutely go in and you'd be right But mathematically, the chances of winning all three hands when you're a 70 favorite are less the 35 The chances of winning twice in a row when you're a 60/40 favorite is only 36 This is why poker, especially tournaments, are so brutal Comment from : David Hill |

Dan Bilzerian is not a good poker player I've seen him try to explain his hands and he just doesn't understand basic concepts Any super rich person or billionaire I've seen play poker has been very respectable even against pros So any table Bilzerian sits in he is the fish in Just a bullshit narrative Comment from : Raumance |

The last few times a played poker, I was knocked out of tournaments as a huge favorite The last one was AA vs QQ where my opponent caught a queen on the river after he shoved all in after the flop I haven’t played since When bad beats happen in sports betting, even though you can break it down mathematically, I find it easier to accept because crazy things can happen when human bodies are flying around all over the place and things like weather, a bad bounce, whatever can flip the script But when it’s just cards and something is mathematically so improbable but happens anyway, I know it’s weak, but I just can’t handle it I give Daniel all the credit in the world for being able to Comment from : hoyit |

Can totally sympathize with a chain of events going badly and it being very hard to distinguish whether it was bad luck or something wrong that you've been doing And while the easy answer is to say it's some combination, it's hard to know what the proportions are such that you should know what to take from it Comment from : Ajit Kirpekar |
