My dad has a 2012 tundra with the 46, he’s got 357k on it we have a lawn care business so he’s pulling a trailer every single day with it, just about last year, got a check engine light, “pressure control solenoid d stuck off” lately the problem has been getting worse but he’s looking to trade it in and get a newer tundra got his eyes set on a 21 with the 57, other than the transmission issue, the truck is absolutely great, gonna miss it when it’s gone Comment from : Goober102 |
|
Everyone knows the ford 54l engine has cam phaser problems and is expensive to fix I am discouraged that you did not mention this Every mechanic i spoke to in town for their advice on older used trucks 100 agreed that the 54 Triton was junk A few shops wont even work on them anymore because of the cam phaser issues that were major failures from 2000-2013 models They run into so many extra problems when replacing them that the bills would get too big and customers would rage over the added expense or the shops would get stuck eating labour and working at a loss Comment from : K |
|
