So far my 02 suburban is going strong at 255k miles Got it 4 years ago and had 208k Only major thing I’ve done is had to rebuild the transmission at 210k And now my 03 trailblazer I just got has 220k and feels strong

I have living proof that how you take care of a vehicle is a large factor in how long it will last I had a Dodge Dakota as a company truck (farming) that I put 50K miles on it before I turned it over to the field people! I know, I know That's very hard to believe but it's true (although, to be fair, it was a pile of junk within 15K after I gave it to the field people)

I find it hard to believe that the percentage of cars that reach 200,000 miles is that low Every vehicle that I have owned since new have exceeded that First new car I bought for my wife was a 1988 Ford aerostar that went 247,000brSecond was a 1997 Expedition with 217,000 and still goingbrThird is a 2014 Ford Flex that currently has 158,000 and going strong brAlso I have Had several F 350 crewcabs that have all exceeded 200,000 and currently am driving a 2006 with 262,000 on it I expect any car I buy now a days to go a minimum of 200,000 on the original drive train with minimal service

Back in the 50's and 60s in the 70s it's just depending on how well you took care of your vehicle man you can make it last as long as you wanted to you have to blast it on down the highway once in awhile but you had to keep up with everything you have to put new points rotor condenser and things like that in a change of plugs more often change the oil more often people didn't want to keep the maintenance I drove the '50s cars I drove the 60s cars I'm drove the seventies car I had a $72 Dodge Challenger with a small block 340 automatic slapstick beautiful white with the black stripes running down the side I'm by the doorway dual exhaust automatic man I'm in the freaking thing felt like it would pull a wheelie almost and I love that car but you have to do the maintenance on them just like today they try to tell you now that well you don't have to have an oil change for a hundred thousand miles you don't have to change the plug for $200 a month you don't have to do this you can't even check your transmission now fluid because there's no place to check it and you can't change it and what the f*** so much b*b****/b out here

I can't stand the SUVs crossovers all of this crazy s*** I'm a sedan guy I'm a convertible guy actually trying to find a good used car for three grand maybe four maybe 5,000 down here in Florida everything would kind of sort of blow mileage they got it jacked up to $9,010 11 12,000 it's just f*b***/b it should be a crime and you don't know how well the vehicle's been maintained I mean if it's got 80 90 100,000 miles and it's freaking 12 years old you don't know it's just sucks maybe find a good Toyota convertible or something maybe I don't know man anymore if I had my way I could if I had a chance to spend 30 or $40,000 I'd find myself a good classic old car like back in the day when I used to have some good muscle cars really really nice muscle cars for their time 7 6 years old 8 years old 67 GTO red with a black convertible top big block 400 650 dual line Holley carburetor on it dual exhaust Thrush mufflers 456 gear in the rear end Mickey Thompson tires with us Cragar mags electric antenna first four speed on the floor air conditioning it came from the factory like that except for the gear in the rear end and the craters and all that but the air conditioning electric antenna really with a 67 GTO I paid $800 for that car it was better than the 15-year-old car I have right now beautiful car but anyways you can't find that s*** no more you can't even find a dealership a used dealership anybody that's not going to f*b***/b lie to you anymore I can't stand it anymore trying to find a car

I love the channel, and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but this segment was kind of non sensical I know that a MASSIVE segment of Toyota Corollas go well over 300,000 miles In fact, the 8th generations odometer would only go to 299,000 and this had ownerrs up in arms So much so that toyota offered a free replacement dash cluster htat would go to a million miles I see them on the road all the time and they are approaching 20 years old now That particular model had arguably the worst build quality of any Toyota I've ever seen, with defective pistons and high oil consumption Mine has 297,000 currently My FJ has 202,000, and feels like new There are several other vehicles that I can think of that I know must have much highter run outs HOW DARE YOU!!

I'm not surprised: I'm 66 years old and only my first car was a non-Toyota (it was a 1970 Chevrolet Impala) After that awful car, I've owned Toyotas, from my first Corona to several Corollas to a Supra to my current two Toyotas, a 1998 Camry LE (22L) with 329k miles and a 2007 RAV4 LE (24L FWD) with 267k miles I haven't had car payments since I finished paying for the RAV4 in 2012! But, sadly, my RAV4 is having oil-burning problems, so I will get rid of it soon and once again take on car payments Oh well But all of my Toyotas had at least 250k miles before I sold them

A little trick with newer model Toyotas if they say to change the oil at 10K do it in half that you will easily hit 350 to 400k if you change the oil regularly

Yep, Landcruisers are expensive to repair but that's because they use quality parts But you also have to consider that it is cheaper to own the same vehicle for 500,000 miles and spend a bit of money on it from time to time than to have to keep buying a new one every 100,000 miles That would be five vehicles with a huge loss on the retail price in the first year which far out stretches the normal servicing and repair bills of a landcruiser

How you take care of a rig is part of it I've taken 3 vehicles to 200k+ A Mazda Protege, a Chevy Lumina and a Chevy Beretta Oil leaking had begun with the Chevy's, but that Mazda drove like a top!
