What about silver dollars? Silver dollars also circulated before 1964 Since they were a heavy coin, they weren't that common, but they were definitely around They were very common in Nevada where there were silver dollar slot machines Anyway, what premium is associated with 1964 and earlier silver dollars that don't have numismatic value? I love your channel Thank you for this excellent presentation and explanation about 90 silver coins brHowever, @1127 you show us that SD Bullion is SELLING 90 silver for $26761 per $1000 face value but @11:56 they are BUYING it for only $20000 per $1000 face value I realize every business needs to make profits, but that's a 335 profit A 335 profit seems a bit excessive, especially when the demand is larger than the available supply Comment from : Tom McDonough |

Where can you get $1 face of junk for $17 four days ago? Lol- Everywhere I look junk runs from the upper $20s going into $40 Even the big metal sources are charging fairly high premiums Silver was around $24 when this vid was released and idk anywhere selling junk at less than spot, but maybe I'm missing something Only been in this since January, and when I started asking around what to do to get the most silver for my $- i was told time and time again that junk was sold less than spot Still am yet to actually see that for sale anywhere online and def not in shops by me lol In fact by my math with the fact that you don't even get 3/4ths of an OZ per $1 face included, shows junk to have higher premiums than some top world bullion coinage, depending on where you buy it Im finding ebay with free shipping to be the lowest price to spot lately So it Seems like 'premium' culture has hit constitutional silver, or maybe it was there all along if its always been sold by $fv Comment from : Max F |

The mint still makes junk silver proof coins that can be purchased at lower premiums than pre 65 junk But since it has modern dates they are less “recognizable” than the old stuffbrbrBut it’s alright for fractional comparatively rn, with premiums so high Comment from : Melek Taus |
Thank you and God bless Let me ask this if things get as bad as everybody says and you go to the store oh, and let's say they want one troy ounce of silver for a loaf of bread oh, and all you have is constitutional silver how much of a constitutional silver would it take to make one troy ounce silver to buy that loaf of bread? I dont get it I looked at halves and quarters junk The silver content is based on new coins Many I have seen have a lot of ware on them and really contain much less actual silver than what they did when new So you aren't getting what you are paying for unless you can find some with very little ware its better to buy rounds or coins that actually weigh 1oz Comment from : Fred Daniel |

Another 'Explained' suggestion: Troy Ounce, Troy Pound, Pound Sterling, and Sterling SilverbrWe continental Europeans with our metric system have no idea of the history of those, and why difference ounces exist They come from the great market of Troy, twelve troy ournces to a troy pound - and Pound Sterling was originally a troy ounce of the sterling coin -, which was defined by royal decree to contain of 925 percent silver It's a fascinating piece of medieval history Wikipedis has an overview, sources, and it's easy to google for morebr enwikipediaorg/wiki/Troy_weight Comment from : Henrik Clausen |
So glad I scooped up $70 face before the premiums exploded 😌brI have a goal for at least $1000 face, but not at the current premiums I think 19 - 20x face is more sane 17x face was a definite no brainer lol Comment from : Kevin K |

Now this is a great video, thanks Silly question but do you know if the silver or copper are concentrated in certain areas of the coin? Ie Silver mostly on the surface? Or is it a fixed 90:10 ratio throughout the coin? Comment from : Andy B |
Let me encourage you to no longer call Constitutional Silver 'Junk':brbrSystematically using the term 'Constitutional' will remind everyone that silver still legally is money, while the currency of today (nickel etc) is not Also, 'Junk' is a bit of a derogative that I would NEVER use about anything that is Constitutional, or coined silverbrbrOf course, others might still use the term 'Junk', that's worth a mention, in passing :) Comment from : Henrik Clausen |
Awesome video!! Thank you! Comment from : Danny Rhodes |
Here in Kansas City prices at local shops have jumped to 22 x FV and many are sold out I bought 28 lbs from an old lady looking to clean up her estate Paid $1904/ t oz What I"m seeing is this is what casuals want with all the frightening news So I'm shifting my acquisitions from 1 oz gold to volume junk silver Hey, stuff is only worth what others are willing to pay Comment from : David Knigge |
Thank you for the information Comment from : Steve Nawojczyk |

My dollar cost average for ASEs ($2685) is lower than it is for constitutional silver ($2895 per oz) because I bought the 90 silver in 2021 and 2023 instead of 2020 when I got the ASEs But i like that I have it since they are not being minted anymore Comment from : 50 Beers |
