After reading his(and his friend's) book I've finally get in understanding how is he doing that, and even tried to do these tricks myself, trying to square 6 digit number in my head(I've succeeded after 2nd go and it took me 15 minutes) but I still cannot match his speed, this is freakishly fast, I guess this is something that you achieve after couple of years of intense practice and passion

The thing is that this is so unbelievable that it made me think that this was fixed but I know that it isn't, it made me feel embarrassed about my nickname at school (I was called Calculator cuz we used to play a game wherein by hand signs signified a number and as long as the same hand signs weren't used by the opposing players we would keep adding up the numbers and the one with the highest number wins)

I knew a guy in school with crazy good mental arithmetic He could multiply any 2 numbers, even large ones, instantlybrbrHe ended up studying math at lower level, because he sucked at geometry and algebra, and it became a completely useless skill once we all started using calculators
