Basically a dollar bill is becoming only paper It’s not backed by gold anymore but the word of the government and federal reserve which isn’t the government Countries are already refusing the dollar for gold and silver

The only reason for the volatility is the fact we were taken off the gold standard in 1971 That was done so that the fed could print as much paper as it wanted, thus causing the current mess we are in today

This is true in Commonwealth countries as well - so in Canada, we can use Royal Canadian Mint coins as legal tender and don't have to pay additional tax on them as we do on other investment products However, the face value (as determined by the Government) is very low

The majority of those states, who passed their laws earlier, on those coins 'minted by the federal government' That's a bit different from accepting gold and silver in bullion form Other 'acceptable' forms are the newer 'Goldback' products of various gold content There are those who will 'barter' gold and silver for goods and services, outside the laws stipulating 'federally minted' forms There are still pro's and con's to any uses of precious metals as money, as in ensuring the purity of such metals and the bulk of larger amounts It does seem that more are open to accepting precious metal in exchange for goods and services, as their are a growing number who are losing faith in the 'faith based' fiat currencies

So the question here is, if you have other minted coins from other countries, say Canada, it is null and void because it’s not minted United States coin like a silver eagle ? The silver eagles are the most overpriced resource out there, because you never get your money back out of them

Yeah, when SHTF and the 'Federal Government' is the joke of the land it won't matter who minted said gold and silver or even if they are bars instead of BS 'coins' as paper money will just be kindling for fire and gold and silver will be worth far more than cola bottle caps as currency
