I earn about €2450 a month €1500 goes to necessities, mortgage, insurances, gass, food etc brbrI allow myself to spend €200-250 a month on myself Everything thats left goes to a special savings account for if i want to eat out/go to a party or to spend on holidaysbrbrAnd €700-750 goes into my savingsbrbr(The company already takes €350 from my paycheck every month for my retirement)brbrI currently have a car, and around 16k saved up brbrI'm by no means rich in my country, but seeing friends and family spend thousands of euros on useless things and not having any savings left for emergencies Its just insane Especially since most of them earn more than me 😅brbr(I'm from europe btw)

Money is the thing I struggle most with I grew up with fear of money, of spending money too because I know how it is not having enough I'm the person who has savings of savings normaly But im coming out of my comfort zone I invest in ETF, I invested in a piece of land that I pay off, that I didn't need to get credit for, I wamt to buy a home, for others to live in, so that my credit will be paid off of the rent at least in 50 This is scary af, spending all that money Im trying to find something like roth or 401k in my country It is possible, it is scary It is because of you Thank you

They also wont tell students (cause they never told me as a kid) that a basic certification and licenses can get you a job as a plumber making $90/ hour and being able to take a business calss with out having to go thousands in debt Some eployers will even pay for you to get the certifications for an internship Plumbers and other trade jobs also have actual growth potential
Comment from : Luci Huxley

Edgar Arzate
Very true! I dropped out of college, but have been working since I was 14, managed my money and bought my house at 23 in 2019 cash, no mortgage I got my CDL B and I'm earning 24$/hr as a bus driver I ain't making mills but I'm currently 27; Got no debt, high credit score, my own Roth IRA and mutual fund, bought a car not lease/finance but it is semi used and my own house I got more than half my life resolved I'm not living paycheck to paycheck; save enough money to go to mini vacays to like Wisconsin Dells which is wild because before that used to be big family vacations growing up I had enough money saved up for when my mother got cancer, I was able to take 2 months off work to take care of her through her treatment/surgery without worrying about not having money to be able to pay my bills I am by no means rich but I ain't gonna lie having that flexibility sure damn feels like it

This is ridiculous It makes it appear as if people who make a lot of money generally blow it all, while people who make less generally are frugal There are just as many who make $75k who are living like they make 6 figs and up to their eye balls in credit card debtbrbrHow do you think people get rich in their 30s and 40s, instead of in their 60s and 70s? They attack the INCOME side rather than the EXPENSE side You'll never be rich nickel and dime'ing Yes, you'll have nice savings a half century later, but in-between will be a mundane existencebrbrGo make as much money as you possibly can Go become an engineer Go become an accountant and climb the ladder into being a Controller You'll be rich making $200k and living like you make $80k in one decade, not half a century later vs you making $75k and living like you make $60kbrbrHow much you make is FAR more exciting and faster way to wealth than settling for a mediocre career path humping a measly $75k a year job
