How are debts that are partially satisfied debts seen when applying for a mortgage? I'm currently in cat2 but I am accepting partial settlements on outstanding debts and making regular payments to my utility bill arrears

I missed a load which l suppose to pay in February but paid in march I found a property l want to buy now They have accepted my offer I have tried couple of lenders but they rejected my application In fact l want to put down 15 0/0 but l didn't get the lender who can lend the money Please l need to advise or service Many thanks

For bad credit mortgage do lenders distinguish between different types of insolvency eg Iva vs full bankruptcy? And if they do how do they treat these applications differently?

Hi Alex, i have an iva dated from 09/2018 which i settled on 07/2021 its due to come off my report in july 2024 but im wanting to get on to the propety ladder I an self employed and was wondering if you are of any lenders that can help me getting a mortage?

Hi Alex brI’m not too sure what category I’m in as I have 3 defaults on credit cards and 1 on a loan but 3 are over 5 years and are almost gone however one is just under 5 years brI’m looking at a shared ownership property but am very anxious these will cause a problem We would prefer a 95LTV but could stretch to 90brI am aware these defaults become less of problem as time goes by but is 4-5 years enough for us to still attain a mortgage with a reasonable interest rate? brMy partner who will be applying with me has excellent credit, I don’t know if this will help us brbrMany thanks

Thanks for the video and course! I was filling in the adverse events form, you mentioned that anything over 60 months wouldn't matter If I can see missed payments on my report, will lenders not too? As they seem to keep record of them up to 70ish months Just a little worried about that Also, going over your credit limit, is this an adverse event we should be concerned about? Thanks for all the info !

I am category 2 due to unstable employment through no fault of my own Would love to buy my own property, but as a single parent I think that puts me severely on a back foot I took your advice from a previous video and opened a money box account last year though so I'm hoping that some day I will be a proud property owner 😊
