I always enjoy your videos I live with my adult daughter and we have a decent budget for food but I don’t cook much and so watching your videos helps me to try something new I also watch Frugal Fit Mom and Southern Frugal Mama, both of which make content like yours I wish I could cook like the three of you! My parents never taught me how to cook So Frugal Mama does an “extreme budgeting at every store” series Maybe you could try that one! I’m a huge fan of rollover meals I live in a small town, as in no chain stores, no fast food restaurants, no stop lights, 2000 people small Anyway, it’s tough to make your $ stretch at the local market, so anytime I can make 2 meals out of 1 protein I’m all over it Comment from : Paula Young |

recipe for Pineapple Fried Rice:br2 T oil
br2 cups pineapple, medium dice
br1 red onion, chopped
br1 red bell pepper, medium dice
br1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
br3 cloves garlic, minced
br1 tsp sesame oil
br2 cups cooked rice
brcooked edamame beans
br4 green onions, finely sliced
br1 tbsp soy sauce
br1 tbsp (or a little less) Sriracha
brfresh cilantro, chopped
br1 lime, juiced
br1/4 cup roasted cashews
br
brIn a large skillet on med-high heat, heat oil and add pineapple and cook a little
brAdd red onion and cook until pineapple and onions are browned
brAdd red pepper and cook until they start to brown and they are soft
brAdd ginger and garlic and some sesame oil and saute until golden
brStir in rice, edamame, and green onions, as well as the soy sauce and Sriracha and cook until heated through
brStir in cilantro and lime juice

First - thank you for the excel spreadsheet I’m not very well versed in excel so this will help a lot with my new computer! brAlso, we are going on our anniversary cruise 6/2-6/9 and in the past we ended up throwing away or giving away so much food before we left This time, I stopped shopping and we are using what we have for this week and next I processed a lot of my produce so that it won’t go to waste brbr$100 a week budget would be great! Rice is so versatile and still cheap, it freezes well, and rice can be used as a dessert or main meal Have you made rice balls, they would freeze very well I haven't tried this form of rice, but, I understand that the short rice is used because it is sticky and holds togetherbr These would be healthy snacks as well Comment from : SJ R |

The hardest lesson I learned, when I didn't have much money, was to shop my fridge/pantry/freezer before thinking to go grocery shopping! Now I do the Kitchen Shop on a regular basis since I can't/won't go into an actual store (I don't drive and have health issuesI'm not a wussie)I love all of your videos but this one rang my bellyou're good Maria! We are moving from Arizona to Ohio we actually leave tomorrow anyways, I haven't purchased any groceries in 2 months we have literally eaten EVERYTHING in our pantry, fridge and freezer I mean EVERYTHING!!! some dinners were questionable 😆 🤣 😂 but WE DID IT our normal grocery budge is 1K per month so we saved 2K for gas and eating on the road its a 4 day drive ugh!!😮 Comment from : Martine Mikita |
