It just occurred to me that have some smart guy make cars that were easy to fix the body could be changed he probably would make a lot of money I could elaborate on it but I'm not going to cuz there is always going to be somebody that wants new cars every year and there are some people that one car and keep it almost forever these people are the ones could fix your own cars if they were simple to fix just want a car to go from A to B

I grew up in my father's mechanic shop He put me to work at the age of 4 getting to nuts and bolts he couldn't reach I've broken my right hand, pulled muscles, dislocated joints and rebroken my hand who knows how many times I still keep on though When he retired, I took over the shop I don't think I could see myself doing any other kind of work after 20 years of being in a shop

worst thing I've had yet was yesterday it was working on my lawn mower that I've been building for racing starter went out tried to cut it up to put it on a drill to spin the motor over and start it angle grinder slipped and went right through my thumb and I never realize the danger of power tools until now

After being an apprentice mechanic for 9 months I spent about $2,500-$3,000 on tools Definitely expensive to get into haha! What scares me about the ev heavy vehicles of the future is those current/voltage lines underneath em near the battery fk up and rest in peace lol I don't do well with electricity 🙃

If you work in the north, there is always the car that comes in with ice and snow packed in the wheel wells that starts melting as soon as it enters the shop When it drips onto the lift and splashes you in the face multiple times, you get insanely irritated

I gotta say the thing I hat the most about being a mechanic is that people don't take care of there cars Just last week I had a car in where the guy said on the phone that the breaks were making a noise on an 07 Honda Civic It needed rotors pads calipers break hoses ball joints hubs axle seals front axles and the engine was leaking out of pretty much every gasket This guy abused this car so bad it needed more than it was worth that car witch should have lasted over 300,000 miles easy, was destroyed after only 80,000 miles because of neglect

I recently took my 2006 toyota tundra to a mechanic and told him i need my timing belt, water pump, oil change, and my tires rotated along with an alignment to it The mechanic told me do you need it done the same day because i can try to get it done the same day if not 2 days topbrbrMe being me and want things done good and correctly I told him no take his time and to absolutely don't be rush on my truck and to take all the time he needed with my truck He took three days and decided to do my tires rotation and alignment free of charge which was suprising to mebrbrMy question is do mechanics like it when you as the customer don't try to rush them?
