Not only am I a music lover but I also produce music and even still I don't pay for music subscriptions there's absolutely no point

In finland 500g of coffee costs around 6€ and out of that you get around 70 cups of coffee which is around 8cents a cup😂 but oh no coffee is so expensive

I visited Amsterdam in 2018 and my friend and I stumbled upon a museum / research institute called Fashion for Good Through installations, they showed the massive environmental impact of the fashion industry I learned about unethical labor, pollution and the death toll of factory workers, all so I could buy more clothes at a lower price brbrOn a positive note - i also learned what a capsule wardrobe is and about new sustainable textiles like mango leather I don’t know what compelled me to visit that day but I’m so glad I did, it changed my life brbrPs I just watched all your videos, I love your content! The only subscription I pay for is Spotify But I deactivated my Disney+ account I wasn’t watching enough Disney content and too expensive! I do mostly off all of those and I’m still poor (Rent is half of my paychecks)

Learn how to do manicure yourself and teach your daughter Buy good manicure instruments which will serve you for decades I grown up in Russia and till beginning of 2000th manicure service was a luxury there for many women (now it went mass due to income improvements and acrylic nail industry) brMy mom always did manicure herself and taught me People often compliment me for nails Plus over time I’ve got so skilled that it is looks as professional as done in some salon One more benefit- it is so much more hygienic to use your own instruments!

1 Music subscriptions - absolutely I think it's a crazy waste of money to subscribe to spotify premium I just downloaded my songs to my phone for freebr2 Fast fashion - it's fast fashion, cmon Not going to be trendy after the first month of wearing (or maybe it falls apart due to the quality)br3 Nails - natural look best and if you go get gel ones, taking them off makes them look ugly and perpetuates a circle of renewing gels br4 Food delivery - honestly never understood it Why is doordash a thing? It's so expensive too, honestly suprised how many people use these servicesbr5 Flavored drinks - unless some juices I avoid soft drinks because they're expensive, addicting and unhealthy Water is the best option all around anyway

I disagree with fast fashion Some places sell fairly decent things just wear it until it breaks if you can fix it fix it I brought shoes from h&m 4 years ago that are still in great shape and I wear them all the time All of my clothes are funny enough and it's been years just quality check everything you dont need 50 tops

i use youtube premium and use youtub'es music app as well The family youtube premium subscription costs 3dollars/month where i live and you can share with 6 accounts so i don't think thats really a big expense since it does 2 in one

I’m with you on the drinks Water is my everyday drink It’s tap water because where I live the water is safe to drink It tastes weird, and a little different every day, but it’s constantly monitored and treated so I have no reason to pay extra for water from some other treatment plant I got used to the tastebrbrSometimes I’ll drink herbal tea if I’m sick or feel like I need more electrolytes in my water but that happens less than once a week Water, milk, fruit, vegetables, and soup give me my daily hydration

Other easy savings arebr- Ditch your TV plan We run a family of 4 on a single unlimeted 4G phone plan for 30€/month We are lucky the market in the Netherlands is highly competitive I'm still baffled by the amount of singles that pay 70-80€/month on fiber+TV in addition to their 50€ iPhone plan 1K down the drain a year for nothing!br- Stop buying new clothes We have 2 exceptions: undies and pants for the kids (they don't survive)br- Any subscriptions Even our phone plan is no real subscription as it can be quit any monthbr- Ditch a car if you have 2 Noone needs 2 cars Either follow your other video, to reduce the work days, so all commute goes by one car, or cut out commutes Kids go to a school they can bicycle to, try working at a place that can be reached by bicycle, train or bus in under 30 minutes, or quit the jobbr- Parking I never pay for parking Ever It often means I need to walk, but usually that is no more than 10-15 minutes Which is rather nice to do after a ride

I don't spend money on trinkets- like collecter's edition cups etc (unless they are albums, because they have a purpose besides being collected) from a place or venue- I usually get postcards, or collect rocks to put in jars, or things like that My family stopped drinking seltzer years ago, and while I don't drink coffee I'm a tea fiend, and probably could not live without it! 😂

I refuse to spend money on expensive designer products, but I have a problem with impulsive spending, especially on food I live in the DMV area so brunch can cost anywhere from $50-100 I'm also a first-time mom, and my husband and I buy unnecessary things for our daughter just because We would be in a great spot if we could cut back on that

I use Spotify Premium religiously I listen to a lot of music and podcasts I buy my energy drinks from Dollar Tree I buy a few at the beginning of the week so I can take them with me to work I don’t buy coffee everyday anymore only occasionally I haven’t been going to expensive restaurants lately I haven’t bought much clothes other than band merch and that’s about it

Spotify is the only subscription that I have, and I'm on the student plan which is around $5 a month which is not too bad I've used the free version for YEARS and recently right before I got premium, Spotify started playing too much ads, where it was an ad every 2 songs and the ad would last around 3 minutes or so and I just got so sick of it I use spotify almost 24/7 lol so it's definitely worth it to me

Funny thing is that, as a disabled person, some of the stuff you mentioned are absolutely life saving for me Spotify Premium allows me to make my own playlist and download it to listen offline if I need it to calm down because of my anxiety Without food delivery I would literally starve or keep eating unhealthy snacks because I don't have the energy to cook I also can't do my own pedicure to save my life because of the pain I pay for someone to cut my hair and keep it short because of low maintenance (and it looks cute imo) That said, I absolutely love buying second hand You can find really good stuff for an affordable price, and I even find some rarities from time to time Different strokes for different folks, I guessbrbrI loved your video, it's always nice to see a different perspective

I do my manicure and pedicure once a month at the salon I feel like it's part of my self-care, plus I really love how long the polish stays on my nails And where I go, they always, always do a fabulous job! I definitely think this ones worth it And I won't have the patience to do it myself anyways Also the coffee, I must have ☕️ this one, it doesn't have to be expensive, there is always the instant one from the grocery But I will always have one from the café :)

Only two of these are compelling to me, flavored drinks and music subscriptions I buy the occasional pop, freezing and having them as a treat Sugar free liquid water inhancers (Mio, Zaz etc) last a while and make water less boringbrbrI've been tempted to get a music sub, but listen to too many podcasts, it's hard to make time Artists notoriously get screwed by them, although some services are worse than others I inherited a CD collection I've been slowly going through for now

Completely relate! Pandora all the way and people think I’m weird but I literally have one subscription because we listen to music constantly in my home so I have Amazon music I like that we can each take a turn with the Echo and listen to whatever we want without needing a TV Otherwise, not even TV subscriptions for me I do splurge on iced coffee sometimes but even that has tapered off and I just make it at home So maybe a cup of coffee, a little oat milk, and being totally water crazy has really saved me! I have also never had food (including pizza) delivered and never had an alcoholic beverage at 32 😆 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a nail stylist I do not agree hahaha Good for you if it is not for you but I love making people feel beautiful and myself of course I learned to do it myself and I loved it and now I do it as a side hussle so as for personal finance to be on the other side is good :) Also I have a lot of nail biters as clients who feel ashamed of their bitten nails and are so happy I could help them

Cooking takes too long I've timed myself shopping, prep, cook, clean 60 to 90 minutes I can call a restaurant and be back hone with food in 15 minutes That way, I can keep working as I eat

Streaming services I used to like movies and TV a lot when I was in my teens and into my mid 20s but between having a full time job post college and the general dissatisfaction with the over all "fast franchise" culture that over took the film industry I just got incredibly bored and disillusioned with the whole medium and disconnected from the whole lot just about the same time as all their rates went up as well Now if I hear through word of mouth something is good I'll seek it out for digital rental once in a blue moon (one $5 fee every three to six months > $15-$20 per streaming provider)

The things I refuse to spend money on are fast fashion, annual or biannual technology upgrades, new motor vehicles, new boats, food delivery apps, and ultra-processed foods and drinks I also have an espresso maker so I can skip Starbucks and save 90 percent on lattes, macchiatos, and flat whites If it takes me 30 minutes or less to get to work by bicycle and public transportation, I will be more than happy to do it I also limit myself to no more than 3 video subscriptions and 2 music subscriptions

I tried hard to not buy anything from fast fashion companies but I was always disappointed with Vinted and it's also hard to find some good basic in the thrift store it's generally overpriced or inexistent (in France) So I started to buy again in shops like Mango, Uniqlo, and ca It's not the best but they don't feel like the worst either I absolutely cannot live without tea, haha, but I hate milk
