One big reason I don’t want kids is because I am PETRIFIED of being pregnant I can barely take care of myself on some days, let alone 2 people!!! No way in HELL am I carrying a fetus to full term Such a shame that women like me are constantly blocked from sterilization treatment if we don’t have kids— and even if we do, we’re still expected to have more!

Dear Timothy, You're right on target here If I were 20 or 25 today, I'd probably take your child-free life to heart But I'm not At 75, I reflect on the past sometimes My 2 children, one boy and one girl, are doing just fine - without children of their own Both are in long term marriages, in their mid to late 30's, college loans paid off They travel whenever they wish and do what they want Lots of time, and money in the bank Neither of them are wealthy but they're a whole lot better off in so many ways I could have produced a serial killer - the bad seed, as you said But I didn't Dumb luck

perfectly valid reasons by the way! They are way too expensive but the main reason I choose to not have kids is that I don't want to say or do the wrong thing and have them effected by that So it's a bit selfish but selfless too pedophobia is what it's called I think But also I don't want them to experience poverty, sickness disease, corrupt society, violence of other people, disability, depression, fear, worry, doubt and other troubling emotions I don't think I have the right skills temperance, personality, tolerance other other beneficial traits to help them with any of that I'm happier without responsibility or teaching them them what little I know Lets just face it they are messy, noisy, they misbehave, don't pay attention or don't listen My kid would be just as stubborn as I am and I don't want that hassle either Also one less person polluting with their waste, and one less person in the world, which lets all admit that we are overpopulated ( 8 billion is way too many people) I don't hate kids, I just don't want to be around them or have any of my own But they are the future of our humanity Less drama, less stress and obligation, for me and them It's called boundaries and knowing ones own limitations I'm 38 and perfectly fine without children, continuing my views and current lifestyle I'd rather have dogs or cats

Love this ❤❤😂 I want to spend my life doing the things I want like travelling and enjoying new experiences And actually have the money to pay for them too I don't see how I can travel as regularly as I want to if I have to send my kids to school, be free only during vacation time and be responsible for literal human beings !! Being Childfree is a very recent choice for me but makes me feel so relieved and actually look forward to having a peaceful and fun life !!

To say you don't want children is taking the easy option, your choice, but a rather selfish choice It's not the choice you make about having no children that parents judge the child free, but the negative attitude of child free around other peoples children in a public place and child friendly area We are all inherently selfish but parents make the sacrifice of putting the child before themselves out of love rather that duty where as the child free are selfish by nature, by definition!! Back in the day, I got into an argument with my mother and sister in law, and they shamed me for not wanting to be a mother This was when my husband and I were first married, and my sister in law had just had her first baby She gave me the speech about how she's carrying on her bloodline, how she sees her grandfather in her son, and how parenthood is so sacred and magical, and blah, blah, blah Fast forward to today, She's been married twice, and both men cheated on her and left her she has three kids who are living with my mother/father in law who are both retired, old, and decrepit Their house is always a mess They never get any peace and quiet My father in law is always looking for an excuse to get out of the house One of the kids ran away to live with his girlfriend and isn't going to school So now, my sister in law who is currently in jail for not being able to pay her taxes may be getting charged again because her oldest son won't go to school and no one can get a hold of him These aren't the only problems she's faced, but I'm not going to write a book on here Although part of me feels bad for them, I can't help but smile out of spite when I think of how they shamed me for not wanting to be a mom Sometimes, I really want to ask them"So, how's motherhood and grandparenting going for ya? Enjoying your sacred duty as a parent? 😏

Everything is good until you have to retire or God forbid claiming disability who will support your monthly paycheck or your social security benefits when you retire those kids that you despise so much When you are like 70 and 80 if you live that long It will be them kids who work and paid taxes through his adult lifeand everybody thinks like you now a daystar problem will be in the long run And that is a problem a lot of countries are having now But in the other hand its better not to brings children to suffer neglect and tlc It's better be clear like you are and to know the huge responsibility that it is
