Grand Pa, I have a question I’m about to sell my property in Philippines, but I’m concerned if once I received the money from PH Will I have to add that amount for my Gross Income Tax? And pay tax for the amount I received from PH? Thankyou for future response!

thanks for the info grandpa I needed this info because I have money that needs to be transferred to the US from Php Just wondered if the bank in the US designated to receive the wire will question the monies transferred from the Php because of the Money Laundering Act implemented by the FinCen of the United States Agency ( FinCen stands for Financial Crimes Enforcement Network)

My friend sold their property in the Philippines and deposited the money in their Banko de Oro account They travel a lot and use their BDO debit card for expenses and bills outside the Philippines You can also withdraw money from any affiliated ATM worldwide with a service fee and certain limit per day They just need to advise the bank of their new location every time they go outside the Philippines or move to a different country

Grandpa, I have successfully wired money a couple of times in the past year as you have described And yes there is a lot of paperwork that the bank asks you to fill out, so be patientbrbr in my case it didn’t involve a capital sale though, so I did not have to show any ‘proof’ of tax paid I just had to declare the source of that money I asked the bank manager (off the record) how best I should state that on the form, and she told me just be “as generic as possible” , heheh
