Have you tried the Bluedriver scan tool? It's similar to the ELM 327, it's $70 up front, no subscriptions unlike the Fixd, but it gives you a identifiX type of information right next to the codes it has read Common problems and fixes related to the given code So far has been decently reliable and very helpful!

Thinkcar has a bluetooth dongle and software that runs thru your phone or tablet for about $100 that appears to be mostly functionally equivalent to the pro S except for network topology and live data graphing have to share a graph instead of being able to graph separately (both of which I've bitched to them about if one has the screen real-estate to accommodate those graphics)brbrI believe it's called the "think Diag"

One of the expenses if you buy the lower priced Autel scanner is the cost of the updates which I heard are very pricey Might be best before buying any one of these scanners is to determine if you are willing to pay for the updates otherwise thanks for the presentation, nice to see them all lined up side by side

I brought the Launch X41 Diagun about a year ago, based on multiple reviews (and also Ivans review) It's served me very well, and can do a lot but the screen is really small, so I'm thinking this weekend maybe I pull the trigger on the Thinktool, or maybe wait until part 2 on the AMG comes out and see the Launch Pad V in action ! :) Ivan, you rock man

My thinktool Pros is not displaying text while connecting to a 2001 chevy duramax It also does not label any modules in the topology Is there a way to report these issues I updated the gm software and tool software is the latest edition Restarted scan tool and still same results It works great on other makes, this is first gm I've hooked up to, only had tool a couple weeks

This might seem like a dumb question to you guys that do this stuff all the time Can any or all of these tools reprogram my speedometer larger than factory tire sizes? The 808 line of Autels are nice I have a MK808BT which appears to be similar to the 808TS and 808S just with Bluetooth and without TPMS capabilities (none of our cars have TPMS)

Ivan Help me out I currently use the shops snap on d10 but i find it hard to navigate and lacking some pids Years ago i used a think tool and love the topology Played hell figuring out how to use the snap on without topology Anyways Im an old wrench that specialized in chasen wire Im retired but need to supplement my income so am now an on call problem solver like yourself Do any of these offer a scope like the d10 ? What do you think about the autel ap200 dongle? I got mine to program keys for my maxima and i love it It doesnt do full bidirectional tests but it can show OEM codes and live data It sucks that you have to do yearly subscriptions for each manufacturer after the first one but it does a lot more than a regular obdii bluetooth dongle It's only around $60
