I've got an X-Tool D-7 that has recently let me down I'm a recently retired locksmith with 30 years of experience under my belt, I've had extensive experience with working on cars, both lock wise and mechanically I've had several scanners over the years, but being retired, I thought that the D7 would be all that I needed for my personal use until two of my kids had recently purchased a pair of 2023 Mitsubishi Mirages Where I live, Mitsubishi doesn't include cruse control on the base model, so I purchased a cruse control unit and installed it on the steering wheel Once plugged in, the buttons lit up immediately, but that was about it I plugged in the D7, (all updates are to date), which immediately told me that it doesn't support the Vin So I tried a work around and reached the button to get into the Etacs program, which when clicked I'm instructed to turn the key to the on position and also check the cablebrWhen I initially turned the unit on, the car's engine started to shudder, and the car had made some odd noisesbrI'm now left with a check engine light on even though the D7 states that there are no problemsbrIf anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated Comment from : Suzanne Tisseur |
