The place I donated don't let you drink while donating They even have a poster said no gum chewing! I was dry so yes I had gum Basically similar experience but no drink or snack 😜

I donated before, if you know you might be a difficult stick, they usually have butterfly needles that are a smaller gauge It just makes the donation take longer (about 90 minutes instead of an hour), and it is more likely that it will clot But that made donation possible for people like me with hiding and rolling veins It also depends on the tech I asked the next tech if they could use the butterfly needle, they said no, and of course they blew my vein, so I wasn't able to donate It doesn't hurt to ask though!

I donated plasma the other day and I was very excited however, when I did it I slowly got lightheaded very quickly and told a nurse they came and helped me to get me fine And I walked out fine I was sad that I didn’t fill up to the amount that I was suppose to do The nurse gave me good advice for the next donation I’ll be doing this all year!
