Great tips!brWe took saving on water costs one step further a few years ago We plumbed 2, 250 gallon IBC totes to catch rain water from our roof They are attached to a line that runs into our basement/garage where they empty into 3 additional 250 gallon totes A second set of water lines run from the final tote to our toilets A camper style pump is used to pump water through the lines when the toilets are flushed Because we still have our main city water line in place, we can always change over to city water if we're in drought, etc and run out of water (happens rarely) Now we flush our toilets pretty much for free and we're not using expensive treated water for toilet use brI realize this wouldn't work for everyonebut it may give someone an idea for saving a bit on water costsbrThanks for the great videos! The other thing about hand tools is that they're exercise, as you're using your muscles more! We couldn't have a water meter as they would have had to rip the kitchen units out to install it, but we did get a water use assessment that lopped a quarter off our bill We've also installed a couple of water butts for the garden that harvest rain water Comment from : @jackie0604oxon |

Don’t know how but last water bill was $12 in Credit Have to check if it was paid twice Got rid of automatic watering system all over the garden & now only hand water the plants that need it when not raining Must start washing up in a bucket again to reuse the water Leaving water in the sink to rinse extra plates Leftover kettle water goes in thermos, bottles in fridge or for washing up or salt water for mouth wash Comment from : @razsbags |

Sometimes the auto renewal or auto debits on bills will save you like my internet gives me 10 off a month BUT I have reminders go off twice a year to call every bill and make sure I’m still on the cheapest plan or shop around if needed Like I just switched from Verizon mobile to Mint and instead of 70 a month I pay 15 a month That 55 savings is 2 weeks of groceries for me! 💚🌱✌🏼 Comment from : @VeganMangoQueen |

I am retired and about 3 or 4 years ago my "main stream" third party fire & theft car insurance on my 25 year old car renewal was getting silly, as it went up about 50 over 2 years Apparently my insurance company had changed underwriters I shopped around and found that moving to SAGA was significantly cheaper as a retired person When my SAGA renewal came in for 2022, it was about £90 cheaper than what I had paid them the previous year So I phoned SAGA to query the amount, and they said it was correct and that they had changed their underwriters this time I am wondering if they are picking up my extremely low annual mileage from my MOT records? 🤔 Comment from : @corringhamdepot4434 |

cooking for several days (or to be able to put in the freezer for later) is great, cook only the vegetables or meat of the right season (no tomates on december of course, but canned tomatoes for example), put all little coins (pence) in a jar, instead of champagne use sparkling wine, when you have to cook for guests, dont try to cook very expensives meals, like scallops or lobster, just to show you're well being When your socks have a hole or nearly, fix the holes!
