I hate the fighter pay conversation The UFC is one organization in mma amongst many so they need to pay market value for fighters The value of any fighter is what they can get from another organizations so the UFC is paying well enough that they stay If they leave the UFC for a little bit more money they lose all of their social media exposure and other benefits that go along with working for by far the biggest and best promotion in mma Dana and his bosses are smart people who run a smart business so kids who know nothing should stop talking like the UFC is not fair If you're comparing boxers you need to compare all levels of boxers and I promise you UFC fighters have a higher standard of living than boxers People love comparing UFC fighter pay to the absolute top of the boxing food chain which makes zero sense Those few boxers are their own bosses who will sell the fight and make bank or not sell the fight and wind up in debt As fans we are lucky the best mma fighters work for the UFC because that's the only reason we get to see the best fight the best Look how long it took to make Floyd vs Manny in boxing?

Easy fix Any fighter earning under 120000 a yr with prize money should get a base rate of 50k a yr so they can train full time When they get to 120 with show and win and bonus based on annual fights they cease the 50k base rate Shave 25 per cent of pay per view payments plus put on one monster event every yr like a wrestlemania and help with 3rd party sponsorship endorsements where the ufc take 10 per cent of that money back And every fighter will be financially viable This 12 and 12 crap is pure filth and robbery
