I remember I tried to get into meditation cause I heard it soothed the soul and I even would watch videos following it along Didn’t quite understand it and it didn’t make sense…I felt calm after but immediately would feel anxious after and dead grass…the next sunday at church the preacher preached about how meditating was bad and my dad was telling me how it’s demonic and summons demons…and I stopped doing it

The thing that is off putting about Christianity is that it just makes fun of other people’s beliefs They can’t see that beliefs create your reality You will see what you believe It seems very unlikely that you are the only ones that have the God thing all figured out You poke fun at millions of Hindus, Buddhists, and other Wisdom Traditions To them, you actually sound silly believing that God came down from space to sacrifice Himself to Himself to save us from Himself because of a rule He made Himself I do understand that this channel is for Christians and I enjoy listening to it However, this channel does have a very White, Entitled American biased to other cultures and belief systems The Bible Is One of the Most Violent Books In History But see, that is okay, because God was only ordering the killing of men, women and children that prayed to a different god, right? We all must pray to the jealous God that needs the blood of goats, heifers, doves and his own son to feel appreciated, I assume I would take the Starseed Theory over the God of the Bible any day At least that theory is based on love, compassion and trying to help others The Bible lacks all compassion…and ends with God requiring ‘his son’ to get whipped and nailed to a cross so his blood would cover our sin And we are told that this is how much he ‘loves us’ If someone from another culture told that story about their God…you would laugh in their face We tend to believe our own myths and discount the myths of others

I was into just about everything that she was intobesides yoga, which I thought about getting into for health reasons As I was getting into crystals, meditating, astrology & even back when I was 19 -20 I got into witchcraft a bitall the while I still spoke to God and read my Bible, went to churchbrbr I asked God one day, "why have you allowed me to experience these things with no consequence?" God told me, "Because I want you to know that these things do have power But let me show you my power, it is greater than all these things, greater than you could ever imagine" God will allow us to experience things so that we can later testify of his glory & power & know that he is real And so we can understand exactly what other people have experienced because it was also our testimony to help bring them out of darkness

I do share a lot of the perspectives she is talking about, however, I don't think everything is so black and white: especially in regards to what she mentioned about Mother Earth I converted to christianity through perhaps unusual means, but Nature was central to my conversion Mother Earth is not a goddess or a form of worship, but it is a sincere name of respect of the planets that give us life In my community, we pay respect to the Earth, always knowing that it was God who made it for us not to destroy it Other than that, I agree with most of what she is saying —the glorification of the self in new age practices—

I had an experience as a child where I prayed to Jesus as my grandmother had taught me (my parents were not believers) and He answered Because of that, I always knew that God was real and He loved me However, as I aged I began to lean on my my own understanding and called myself a Pantheist, believing that "everyone is right and nobody is" and I KNEW that God was real, but didn't agree that Jesus was the only way to Him I had experiences I thought could be explained by my so-called sensitivity to "spirits" and practiced tarot Suffice it to say, so began years of hurt and fear in my heart as I kept searching for what would fill the hole in my center I struggled with suicidal ideation, a voice that would say to me "your children would be better off without you" "nobody really cares about you" and worse Unimaginable terrible things I know now I was being spritually attacked I became completely broken During this whole time, the Lord never left me and continued to answer my prayers even when I wasn't acknowledging His son In 2021 that voice came back, and I couldn't believe it I would never leave my husband in that way or my children, why does my mind always return to this? We bought a new house and moved One day, one of my new neighbors came to my door to welcome my family to the neighborhood Before she left she told me about a women-only weekly bible study she hosted at her house and invited me and I thought "certainly couldn't hurt, why not?" I was so miserable and didn't want to live After attending for a few weeks, one day I was crying again over my broken heart and out of nowhere, it hit me like a mack truck (seems obvious to me now!) that the whole reason I believed totally in the existence of God for most of my life was because I had prayed, as a child, to Jesus, and He answered The Holy spirit descended upon me and I hit my knees I was baptized in October 2021 but I have been a servant of Christ since that day Thank You, Lord for your love
