How has this changed for photographers after the latest update to Lightroom 123 with AI Denoise? No one has tested it yet brFrom my small comparison of i7 9700K/32GB RAM/SSD drives with internal GPU only: AI Denoise takes about 12 minutes, exporting 100 edited images (42Mpx RAW) takes over 160 seconds, and AI masking (2 masks - subject and background) takes about 80 secondsbrAfter adding just the "cheap" RTX 3060 12GB - Denoise takes 22 seconds, exporting 100 images takes less than 60 seconds and AI masking takes 47 seconds It's a huge upgrade! brBut is the newer generation with say RTX 4070 much better, or is it just a slight difference? And how well are AMD cards doing with these AI tasks? The older generation GPUs (GTX) are much slower than the cheaper newer ones Comment from : Ondrej Bobek |

Nvidia sadly is leaving me no choice with their prices Comment from : Lex Avaritia |

Scored a 3060ti for $250 Kinda wish I got the 12gb 3060 after reading more about it (this is for Davinci Resolve) but this is my first build and I think it will be more than enough to start, and couldn't pass on the price Comment from : Brett Hake |
|
the 12gb rtx 3060 cannot be underestimated that extra 4gb is a massive boost to creators, its also best bang for buck, I'm also a casual gamer, i do not need gaming perf0rmance its not top tier priority but a cheap card with a heap of VRam 12gb is king for me Comment from : CannedCherry |

How about smoothly playback bro when you use some of plugins or vst or effect, what is calculation for smooth playback with plugins or effect when you edit without having stuttered Comment from : bonimcruela |

Hi I've got a aging pc in my music studio based around an Intel Core i7-5930K 32GB RAM It's still doing well for music after 7 years but I was wondering whether I could get some significantly better results for timeline smoothness in Davinci resolve if I upgraded the 4GB NVIDIA GTX 960 Graphics Card to a newer one This would be for several streams of 4k video with colour grading and some effects I just don't know whether this is flogging a dead horse or even whether a modern GPU would be compatible with my system Any advice would be very welcome Comment from : Simon Painter |
|
Honestly your are the best - thanks Comment from : Mk72Agency |

Thanks TN - Dec 2022, getting ready to build a system and I see 3080's seem scarce and higher in price If I am looking at a 13th i9 system; half of my $2400 build is chewed up by a 3080 For the diff of a 3060Ti, I can add a 2nd m2 and double my RAM I edit in 4k and 1080; but I want something beefy enough that I could edit in a higher res (like w green screen) and my system not catch on fire Any thoughts or clarity would be awesome; thank you for your content Comment from : Matthew Alcorn |

zotac might be cheap but they die soon and the replaced GPU have traces of used GPU like a you can literally see the dust cleanup mark, grunge cleaned from the cheap and when you receive you replacement you would be disappointed by the how old and used up the GPU look, I am never buying ZOTAC again rather go with asus or msi their replaced GPU look as new and work as new Comment from : rahul sonawane |

Hey fellow gamers let's all take a moment to feel sorry for Nvidiajust kidding Nividia is experiencing the karma that it deserves! Thank you Excellent info Comment from : Chrome Rims |

Actually getting a GPU based on whatever is the cheapest one is a dumb advice There are so many variables that impact your efficiency and work comfort There is VRM quality that affect thermals of the card and can cause serious thermal throttling I'm not even saying about overclocking capabilities (for some more advanced users) that bad quality VRM can cripple badly There is also power limits that affects overall performance of the card within the same series and model The fans quality is also not equal - it can, and will, affect not only thermals but also noise levels that at high workload may affect your comfort brIf u work in an industry that requires high computing power you have to know what you are dealing with when it comes to PC parts brSo if You want to give this kind of bad adviese - pls don't post it online and say "just take the chipest one" cause thats the way you get very expensive potato box brCheers guys Comment from : Mikołaj Cichański |

would you consider buying the RTX A series if you will use your machine solely for 3d rendering and video editing? I am currently building my machine But I can't decide whether to go for RTX 3080 Ti and RTX A4000 Since they are almost of the same price At least locally Comment from : Pinoy Arkitekto |
|
The price difference right now for 3080 and 3080ti is about $320 depending on where you look and which brand I'm curious is 12GB over 10GB for that cost difference worth it to go to with the 3080ti? Comment from : Gavin Lively |

Hi I will be mostly editing 4k video which one should I go for 2060 with 12 gb vram or 3060ti with 8gb vram Comment from : Know Your Yoga |
|
The most important number is VRAM/dollarbrGPUs have become so powerful that performance does not matter too much What matters is whether you can do certain things at all, be it CAD / computational physics models / video editing, and there you want as much VRAM as possible Large memory capacity also makes a GPU future-proof, because model size will only increase over time Comment from : Dr Moritz Lehmann |
|
Just avoid Gigabyt The fan controll is not useable Comment from : Alexander |
|
so i will be good with 2k and 4k footage with 3070, its not only for creativity also for gaming Comment from : The Shadow |

3060 ti and 3080 8g are non existent on the shelfs Samsung chip manufacturing fab yields are above expectation RTX 3080 got spec bump and memory upgrade due to this Nvidia has no chips that match their initial expectation on lowest end to use in RTX 3060 ti and regular RTX 3080 When they bin their GA102 and GA103 silicons Comment from : x0vg5hs1 |

I actually fill the 8gb of my 3070 very quickly when making art and videos in photoshop Another thing to consider for vram is how many monitors you are running, their refresh rate, and resolution Comment from : Wolf McCulloch |
|
I would have also mentioned the size of the GPU relative to the case (two fan GPUs vs three fan GPUs) otherwise great video Comment from : FNCking |

Dude I'm STRESSING myself out trying to build a budget video editing PC lol I want to go with that amazing intel i5 12600k that seems to be one of the best CPUs on the market right now, but I know I'm not actually going to need anything crazy I have a crypto YouTube channel and I film the video through OBS so it's not like I'm doing anything crazy I'm currently using a little lenovo laptop which has surprisingly done well but now that I'm actually trying to do legitimate editing it's starting to struggle I hope you have a CPU buying guide like this lol I'm going to go look now I need to stop tripping a just pick a CPU lol Comment from : Hazey |

@Tech Notice - Thanks for all your work and info Could you make a video explaining the new AMD Ryzen 7000 processors in relation to IGPU capabilities? I know that Intel's 12900K, 12700K offer video processing that is beneficial even with a discreet GPU Will the new Ryzen 7000 processors offer similar benefits? Should I be waiting for the Ryzen 7000 or will I get better support for DaVinci Resolve using a 12900K, 12700K? Thanks again! Comment from : xombeat |
|
Thanks for the great video! Have been watching for maybe a year or more Should have subbed before Just did I'm new to the editing arena, but want to dive in with the content ideas I have I'm building a new workstation and have been debating about the video card 3060 or 3060ti I recently picked up a MSI 3060 Ventus, but after watching your video I had the chance to pick up a EVGA XC Gaming 3060 ti for a good price, so I did Will return the 3060 I'm headed into uncharted territory, but my workstation will have a 5900x, 64GB of RAM, 3060ti, 2TB Nvme (gen4) Plan to use the new Fedora 36 and both Kdenlive and Davinci Resolve Thanks for all the great videos Comment from : Robert Heppe |
