Hi Rob, First time seeing your channel and I appreciate the informative content, however please also let your 118k subscribers know about the reviews as well Yes the company with 502 rate seems great but when I did a google review it was AWFUL and PAINFUL to see what some of the customers are encountering One called them a SCAM I'm not sure if you are getting any incentives to promote any one particular bank or institution, but SAVER BEWARE, the reviews on UFB Direct leaves me a bit weary to say the least

Long email sent Short version - avoid UFB_Direct - they play games with the names of their savings accounts and don't automatically raise your rate when it increases They want you to open a new account (with a new account type) and the worst part is the dreadfully slow posting time it takes for ACH transfers I closed my UFB Direct account about a month ago I'm not calling a place and begging they match my rate with new customers

Question is how is the customer service with these obscure banks incase something goes wrong? There have been cases where banks froze customers money they had to file banking regulator complaints to get their own money back For this reason I keep my cash at Fidelity who I trust sprxx money market 46 not too bad

Keep in mind, these banks play games to get you in as a customer I opened a ufb Direct account last August at 261 APY At the time, they were one of the highest interest rates In February, I found that Lending Club had one of the highest interest rates at 425 APY I still have the ufb account and is still shows the interest rate at 261 APY Why hasn't it gone up? Because I am already a customer Lending Club is still advertising a 425 interest rate I just had to go through another account application process with ufb to get the new rate Now I have two savings accounts with them One at 261 and one at 502 I guess I will move my emergency savings from Lending Club back to ufb now The difference between 425 and 502 is significant enough to go back
