I don't follow FOO, but I'm not your average mutant lol There are things I disagree on like car loans and spending As a higher income earner, he is correct that we are more responsible for our retirement than others Social security caps So we should save a higher percent, which is why I save 100 of my after tax income from my main job and live off my side hustles

Our household income is $300K+, so this is perfect for us We don't invest a speci percentage, more a dollar amount We max out all retirement accounts, for '23 that will be $52,500 My goal every year is $100K invested, although my friends tell me I don't need it Haha There's a reason, it's bit they're assholes I'm a 27-year retired Air Force E-9 and with disability my retirement is $7k a month and it's hedged against inflation since it goes up with CPI My wife is a Federal Employee who will also have a pension In today's dollars and adding our pensions with SS (75 of value), we will have roughly $140k before investments Medical coverage is Tricare, so income will not affect our coverage It's a good place to be, but I still struggle to reduce

Bo I've heard you talk about nuanced balancing of doing a few of the steps together such as beefing up your emergency funds slowly and knocking down some borderline interest rate debt and enjoying life How much value would you place on a 10 to 15,000 tax savings by deducting expenses to my business that won't necessarily shoot me to the next level of business earnings it would just make my current way of life a little more luxuriousbrbrLong question and I look forward to seeing you guys in the abundant cycle in the future!
