My thoughts after having been seriously studying for about a year: Genki is great! but its even better with the workbook associated with itand even better if you have a teacher with a curriculum using Genki (I know this may not be everyones case), I recently got "Kanji look and learn' and itsok Its not a bad book and the pictures def help but its a little daunting, even though I have been learning kanji for about a year or 3 now, instead I'd recommend looking at "Learning Japanese Kanji Practice Book Volume 1: The Quick and Easy Way to Learn the Basic Japanese Kanji ", super easy, super short and is only around $20 I LOVE HelloTalk! Yeah its weird that some people use it for dating but I've met some great people in the short time I've been using it who are genuine about wanting to learn and help learn

So where's the "3 months part" ? Video is misleading She obviously already had years of exposure to Japanese before this Sure apps and everything helps, but this video is a lie It mentiones nothing about 3 months, offers no guaranteees, it just goes on and on about "Well I did this and that" What a waste of time
