Kind of new here But I wanted to say a few things! I have extended family that is fluent in Spanish and have been studying it for 7-8 years I noticed that especially reading the spanish subtitles, I could understand everything fine, but it was a lot of the direct "english grammar" When native speakers were speaking, it was hard to pick up the different words and phrases Some interesting observations I made!

I experience the opposite, I learned Chinese way faster, because for some reason when native speakers speak Chinese it doesn't seem to be as fast and I can make out the different sounds, however, when a native speaker speaks Spanish it sounds like they are rapid firing words like a machine gun I also think the biggest thing you do to help you learn so fast is actually speaking to someone on a regular basis I struggle because even though I'm learning the language I never get to use it

Sorry guys, but this is fake He is just reading from a script which he has memorised, so his Spanish is even more basic than it appears in this video There is a video from December 2021 (more than a year after this video) where he speaks some unscripted Spanish with a guy from Tibet and all he knows how to say is a few basic phrases You can't learn to speak a language that quickly, or otherwise we would we all speak twenty languages
