Unfortunately comparing a couple of products / services against each other doesn't really help draw any solid conclusions Only governments have the infrastructure to be able to survey different areas of the economy and really know what the real cost of living is, this can't be done by the average citizen What IS a reality is that kiwis are still choosing to move to Australia wether that is because Australia has lower cost of living or higher wages (I'm more inclined towards the latter) What REALLY matters is HOW many products / services you can buy at the end of the day, not how much they cost you or what your wage / salary is (it's these two combined, also called 'purchase power') Labourers in Australia are earning from 27 to 35 AUD which is insane when you consider that minimum wage in NZ is 2150 If I'm not mistaken Comment from : RaterisimoCBA
