I learned to ride a bike as a child when a childhood friend decided to make fun of me by pushing the bike while im seated in it without me knowing With the adrenaline rush, my sense of balance came out naturally and my body’s coordination with regards to steering and pedaling suddenly come into fruition from there on I started to ride a bicycle

Hi I'm trying to teach my wife We bought a second hand bike and started practices Her bike has shock absorbers so the seat does not go below a certain level and its feet do not touch the ground Therefore, he cannot sit and pedal in the first place Will this prevent him from learning?
Comment from : Aykut Gökbayrak

David
as someone whose parents didnt even really try to teach me how to ride a bike and is now trying to learn on their own as an adult, all i can say is parents should really make that effort whether their kid is enthusiastic about it or not Its feels genuinely humiliating to practice balancing and working my way towards pedaling in a straight line as a 24 year old in front of a bunch of people at the park, but I'm still gonna try cause I really feel like I would enjoy riding one around and not want to drive anymore if I could just get comfortable with it first

I've just bought an ebike and haven't ridden a bike for decades I couldn't remember how to mount and dismount the bicycle and toppled over twice This You Tube guide has helped me greatly I am persevering and can now mount, dismount and ride it I just need to develop my confidence and get used to the traffic around me, so I aim to do regular practice to continue to progress

There are many people who will laugh on you but just ignore them and motivate yourself I had learned at the age of 12 Day 1 first time I was nervous but I was not scared motivated by some people Day2 embarassed by someone peoples but I remembered about the people who motivated me and keep going Day3 I was progressing slowly and in these way many days past I had taken a lot of time to learn but after learning it was a nice experience because when other people will try to embarrase others who can't ride you can help them motivate them

12 Villages
These are the rules:br1) Ignore the urge to look at the top of the front wheel You will wander off You should look straight ahead 20 feet aheadbr2) Cycle won't stay up if it doesn't move(pedal) Move to balancebr3) You arms will automatically navigate(the handlebar) to the direction of your eyes Some evolutionary trait Look at where you have to go If you keep looking at a person, or a rock(on the road) you want to avoid hitting, you WILL hit it head on Don't look at them A bizarre phenomenon indeedbr4) Actual navigation(turning left or right) on a bicycle is done by shifting your body weight A beginner wont be able to do it Instead, press down on the handbar in the direction you want to turn You will learn weight shifting turning on your own, trust mebr5) Don't put your weight on the arms, you'll regret the pain and give up cycling

1 Understand your cycle well Get to know about its centre of gravitybr2 Walk with your cycle and gently incline it sidewards Feel your cycle's weight This will give you an idea of inertia, and in case you fall while cycling, this weight is going to be your company While walking with your cycle, practice taking slow and normal U-turns Let your hands become comfortable and know the working of your cycle's handle Simultaneously, your eyes, brain and hands will work together to understand the overall working of this activity, and learn and evolve naturallybr3 Now try to use the pedals and start cycling slowly Don't practice taking turnsbr4 Once you have gained enough confidence, try taking a long turn Enjoybr5 Schedule one full day to practice all the above again Just like a rehearsalbr6 Next day, use the handle to practice turns You can trace a sine wavebr7 Creatively use the brakes for slow cycling and balancing your cycle to keep it at standstill position for few seconds The moment it starts losing its balance, start pedallingbrbrTake caution while learning Follow all local safety guidelines Do not hurry up Learn one step at a time and enjoy learning

This video has been very encouraging and the comments have given me a lot of faith in my decision to attempt learning how to ride a bike I am 32, tried learning how to bike about 7 years ago, was made fun off and I quit Recently have been struggling with confidence and mental issues, a friend asked if there is something I would like to do to challenge myself I knew it at once - I am dead scared, nervous and don’t have the money to buy a bike But I am going to do this, find someone’s bike to borrow and give it a go

I have 3 bikes, and have built and ridden at least 10 bikes since I was a kid with junk parts I will give everyone one word of advice: falling is okay I firmly believe the bike is not yours until you've crashed or fallen at least once, and that's okay! Just be safe, wear a helmet, and don't do things you're not comfortable doing When you eventually fall, you'll realize it's not the end of the world and you'll get back up
Comment from : Markos Verdhi

Rochelle Joy Mangligot
hi i'm 20 and i just learned how to ride a bike last week i learned for 4 days i never had bruises nor fell down my advice, do it with a person who'll patiently assist you while learning it was hard, and i almost gave up on the 3rd day luckily, my boyfriend did not give up on teaching and motivating me just today, i cycled 8 kilometers it really is life-changing cycling helps me ease my anxiety so if you're on the verge of giving up on learning how to cycle, don't lose hope you can do it just practice and practice WAYA!
Comment from : Rochelle Joy Mangligot

Ziiko Bon
Good video just a little advice on 2 things: brbr1 Never hold the bike (saddle back) when you're teaching as you are balancing the bike for them, so they're not learning it themselves Also it puts a lot of strain on your fingers and hands Instead hold the person around the sides of their shoulders or on their back slightly under their armpits (similar to lifting a child) That way as you hold and walk alongside them, they learn to balance and control the bike themselves brbr2 When mounting the bike hold it on whatever side that suits you, not just with the bike to your right side as illustrated Someone could be right or left-handed so this should be borne in mind Hope that helps

Guys i fell into a roadside drain as I forgot to press the brakes, losing my balance diving into it lmao At first i panicked- but later getting up from there it was hilarious to me as I laughed it off I thought it was the most unfortunate yet the funniest thing ever happened to me in recent times After that incident i was scared af- but i just had to learn it within a week So i skipped the next day, and started again after a day's break Now after 3 days- i can finally ride it The feeling is just amazing- like you are a free bird flying in the sky So dont give up people! The process of learning is worth the wait and for me it was quite a memorable one hahaha
