51 of the board is supposed to be non related What happens if more than 51 is related? I'm assuming the biggest nonprofits are run by family members and I'm curious how they are allowed to do that

3 Questions¨So I can put my 6 unit apt building as Low income Rental, owned by my non Profit 501 c 3 and from the rental income pay myself a salary The salary is considered wages and taxable under my individual Tax Return 1040 right? ? And what if I want to sell the Apt building Do I have to reinvest the profit into another Real estate low income affordable rental? or can the proceeds be used for another endevaur? and 3rd, Does my Non profit has to pay Capital Gains tax or any tax? Ho Toby-- I'm one of your business's clients lol I'm wondering if you make a 501(c)(3) that's based on animals which can help Veterna's with PTSD in addition to the small salary I pay myself could the charity also pay for a company truck and company health insurance fees? That is if the charity itself is a "fell time endeavor" thanks!

If you are starting a private operating foundation in California with 3 people, all of which are on the board, and all of which are also going to be employees/officers can we all be paid a salary eventually while also being the only 3 on the board as long as it is fair?

I do understand from personal asset protection view it's protected However, what if the lawsuit is against the private foundation itself? eg Rental inside the private foundation got sued by a tenant or 3rd parties?

TobyQuestion with the non profit it has to purchase items so will a bank require a persons name attached to the account even though it’s for the non profit Theres a lot of work I would love to do with the elderly in my area these people are just not being looked after properly and it just breaks my heart, I do have residual income to push into it so I’m planing on having a chat to a few a few professionals in my area about setting up a non profit
