There’s one more thing you can do I’m 38 and about to go into med school It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, long story, but I’m doing it Anyway, I’ve been a hedge fund manager my entire life (basically an MD of money) I have used grants and student loans to trade bonds/derivatives while in school, and this has increased my income about 20-ish a year I’m not going to lie, it isn’t a “get rich quick” type thing, and you bwill/b have a few months of a learning curve However, if it is something you decide to learn it’s going to be with you for life, and when you get that nice physician salary it’s going to increase your income substantially I’m not talking about “saving money” and investing Firstly, I would never do anything to put my money at risk of lossit would be grossly irresponsible to do that with grants and loans Second, I get it, 60K a year is not a lot to live off ofit’s not reasonable to ask someone to set even 10 of that aside every month What you could do, if you’re smart, is have your money directly deposed into a TD Ameritrade or Schwab account, and while you’re spending it every month, have it draw interest I get that this is a “way out of the box” way to think, and do thingsbut it does work, and I’m not some “hey everybody trade bitcoin” BS type infomercial I’m talking about doing what the largest banks in the world do with your money to draw interest off of it all the time, every day Better you learn to do it yourself than put it in a bank account and have a bank do it Anyway, if you’re interested in more infoagain I’d highly recommend learning this, as it will something that literally pays dividends your entire life, I’m happy to point you in some directions of books to read, etc Obviously I don’t sell anything personallyanyone who does is full of crap

I got to agree with your colleagues there are a lot of medical school YouTuber I have I unsubscribed from Most of them just echo the same thoughts anyways and complain If you want to be a happy person maybe take advice from only happy preceptors That’s what I’ve noticed
