Wrong the Leaf's will root I have moved mine to soil 5 months ago took a LONG LONG time to leaf's to root but, they did I also have massive cut down of my 12' Money Tree down to 7' and am propagating the cutting to produce a second tree Comment from : All4Catastrophe

And when I cut them out, should I put them in water and wait for the roots to come out first, before I plant them in soil?
