How much plastic is ingested with those bags? Plastics really affect women and children and target first the bladder chasing painful bladder syndrome where they feel like constant bladder infections Its become really difficult to avoid toxins in our regular food and drink stream where cheap plastics break down and deposit in everything we are consuming Comment from : Mathew Mark Luke John |

WHy heaving things at the top and lighter at the bottom?? does that even make sense since you have your ruck supported by your waist, and not mainldy by your shoulders? you dont want the heavy stuff pulling on your upper back or am i making a critical mistake here? Comment from : fuodece Berlusconi |

With regard to the poncho and orange parachute for signaling What about a USGI casualty blanket? They're cheap and durable, and they have an OD green side for low visibility and an aluminized side to retain heat If you turn it around so the aluminized side is out, it would be extremely visiblebrbrOr what about just a mylar survival blanket? They weigh practically nothing and are highly reflective Comment from : Jacob Lee |
and we certainly don't want anything disconcerting Comment from : Robert Schroeder, Jr |
Would you recommend leaving Water in the water bladder between excursions, to keep it from dry rot/Cracks? Comment from : Patriotic Saint |
Not sure, but I think Garand meant: "Put heavy things at bottom and Lighter on top" Because, if you put Heavy on top, it will stress your Lower back and Upper Body Whereas with heavier Closer to your Core (ie Center of Body or Hip region), the bulk of the Weight is easier to carry for Long arduous journeys -and even on Simple ones, like Foothill or other non-mountainous regions But by all means, feel free to correct me if you disagree Comment from : Patriotic Saint |

I always have a pair of socks and a t Shirt in the "claymore pouch" because nothing is worse than a wet, sweaty t Shirt on a cold day Once you stop for a break, you'll get cold very fast, if you don't change shirts And the socks, because nothing kills your feet faster than wet socks in tight boots You'll get sores all over your feet Also, I carry the poncho on the outside with two sticks rolled up in it Sticks, cause if I use it as a tarp, I can just kick the sticks, throw the poncho on the ruck and start running, if necessary Comment from : Zwaolin |
Vaseline and anime? Classic combination 😉 Comment from : Deli |
God bless you for the simple but easy to overlook aspect of using a bivy sac Honestly, in a rough winter storm it might seem like a good idea at first to get in and seal it tight to trap all your heat yet that could very well be a fatal mistake I too am a heavy sweater 😅 Comment from : Zeek Jackson |
I take my custom tomahawk when I go into the backcountry A buddy of mine made it for me The good thing about a tomahawk, is that you can separate the ax head from the wood handle Makes it much more versatile and concealable Comment from : Ken Cunningham |

Makes no sense in survival… but very trendy as everyone is prepared to get out defending against an enemy that does not exist Our governments are the enemies They must be hold accountable… Comment from : Bogdan Chivaran |

Since this video is 6 years old, What model of pack is this? K2 3500? You make a point that it does not have a frame, yet all of the packs on the Exo Mountain site, are mounted to a frame, even the K2 series I am assuming that the current K3 3200 is comparable to the pack you are showing Or are yopu using the bag without the frame? There is no mention on their site of the bags having an internal frame that I can find Thanks Comment from : Nidhogg |

Little but important tip for northern american campers/preppers :brIf you find fell pine tree in winter, check the base of that tree : sap travels down to the root in colder weather, meaning the base will be STUFFED full of sapbrWhen you do find that base, cut all you can carry and make thick, 1 inch thick short sticks and take them out with you whenever you go out camping They will never dry out even after years and make the best fire starters Comment from : Grunt |
