It can't buy happiness but it can buy safety, health, security, time, necessities AND luxuries and all those do directly lead to a happier human Plus 90 of fights in marriages and the biggest contributor to divorce are money & money fights So having enough will cut 90 of the strain out of your marriage/ relationship which also makes more happiness 😊

If you have financial freedom it gives you one less thing to worry about eg paying your monthly bills but money can’t give you long term happiness that lasts indefinitely!

Most of my life I worked very hard as a full time Registered nurse I didn't make a lot of money in Florida I lived paycheck to paycheck I decided to work toward financial freedom I bought a house for 9k My husband can do all phase of construction So we did a complete owner builder remodel We worked at the same time So now I own a house without a mortgage and my house is worth 120k I now do travel nursing in California I work 13 week assignments when I want and where I want I take home 10k or more a month I paid off all my debt I got to see a lot of wonderful places I started investing in stockmarket I want to invest in real estate This is makes me happy I can afford a vacation or to take off as much as I want My goal is to have a cash flow so I can quit nursing I don't want to retire but do other creative things

I don’t feel you need to have a bunch of money to find joy Experiences, like camping, that are not expensive can also bring great happiness Money does afford some additional opportunities but it also depends on how well you manage the money you have

according to one of your videos, your net worth increased from $204K in 2012 to $778K in 2018, a difference of $574K over 6 years, or an increase of $95K per year, seems like a lot, any idea what caused such an increase??brbryou couldn't have saved that much each year!

a word of wisdom, now that you've "made" it, be careful, all it takes is one hiccup, from anything, and it can be all gone, always keep things simple with regard to investing, understand everything you get into, rely on only yourself, not on any other person, there are no experts out there, even if they say they are, there are no easy paths to riches, maybe unusual luck once in awhile (which can not / should not be relied upon)

Love this topic! I always battle with it - I am a minimalist and my husband and I just completed our debt free journey - paid off $30k in a year and it had a lot to do with nit caring about spending money anymore and not trying to keep up with other people We really began to see and understand the true things in life that bring us joy Thanks for sharing this!

A friend once said to me - Money doesn't make you happy but it doesn't make you unhappy either It's about attitude and a sense of self I run my own house & pet sitting business both domestically and internationally I moved into a small apt in someone's home to save on costs It gives me great joy to help people with their pets and I make a living at the same time I started downsizing 2 years ago and don't miss anything I am still getting rid of things online I am 70 and can't wait to go international again for my business

Directly no I don't think it can but indirectly it ''can'' but not solely I've steadily grown my income each year and my business has allowed me to gain total ownership of my time so more time and money - those two things everyone wants more of - has allowed me the comfort to gain access to more that makes me happy, time with loved ones, trips, investing in my health etc But I believe this needs to be coupled with honest inner work we have to do as wellwe are responsible for our own happiness so without that money means nothing

Money takes care of a lot of the things that cause stress in life, so to a point I'd say it buys happiness But I think only to a certain point I think that once you pass the point of "comfortable" than more money has diminishing returns on happiness, which is in line with the $75k-$95k you stated!
