It's good to see you making another foray into Gold I like your choice to purchase a small 1/10th ounce coin as well The premiums for smaller Gold coins are high due to the cost of minting the coin being spread out across a smaller increment of Gold, but I think having smaller increments of such a high purchasing power storage density capacity is far superior to having larger increments 1) It's harder and less likely to have been faked, the smaller you go 2) The smaller increment gives you additional ability to use Gold for future private and/or out-of-system transactions without having to worry about necessarily making change 3) Your universe of possible buyers of Gold expands greatly as you go down in increment size Most of the 1/10th ounce coins are 24k Gold, which doesn't wear nearly as well as 22k Gold coins like the American Eagle While I think ANY Gold purchase is a good one, I would recommend sticking primarily to coins that can withstand circulation, should such a thing become necessary This does limit you to Gold Eagles and Krugerrands, but there is still nothing wrong with having some 24k coins as well I only purchase 1/10th and 1/4th ounce Gold Eagles these days The 1/10th ounce is just slightly smaller than an American dime, but you can feel the weight of the coin, if you handle it on its own The 1/4th ounce Gold Eagle is about the same size of the American nickel, and I actually keep all of mine in a coin tube meant for nickels I'm trying to fill a tube currently with 1/4th ounce Gold Eagles now Before the end of the year, I hope to have at least 20 of the 1/4th ounce Eagles Your Britannia is beautiful though It looks like a great pickup!
