I think the concept of using things till it wears out is smart but wouldn’t it also be profitable to a degree selling it before it basically gets destroyed beyond repair? brbrMore cuz you can use that money to get the new pair of shoes you wanted or something which will be less of a dent in your wallet Comment from : Eva Cantu |

In the process of simplifying my budget I already save 1/4 of my after-tax dollars which I consider amazing in my situation I'm on track to smash my savings goal, that isn't what this is about right now I want to make room for a few "luxuries" by cutting out a few stupid stuff If I reduce my pointless amazon purchases, clothing spending, etc, I can instead take myself out to dinner once a week and go to counseling every week instead of every other Things I actually enjoy and care about! I love cooking, but there are small businesses in my city that I WANT to support and whose food I can't replicate on my own without extreme commitment Comment from : Alexis Stansfield |

eh good on ya but peoples financial woes are still just as much a product of wages not reflecting productivity, the cost of living increases, and inflation As they are of not being fiscally disciplined Unless I missed it I didn't hear what type of job you had as your main source of income How much help from family and friends you received financially and otherwise What socio-economic strata was your family Etc In order to get 100k in 7 years I assumed working from 18 to 25 you'd have to save 1200 or so a month Something pretty difficult to do on a 15/hr job where you make something like 2400 a month and are living independently I used 15 because its within range of most jobs folks can get within a few years of graduating HS Adding 3 to 5 dollars certainly helps but is not significant towards the 100k by 25 goal While this video is commendable and gas great advice I wish we had these details for clarity Comment from : Alex Weir |

This save everything mindset is worse for you than spending all of your money is You are only 18-30 once You are much better off focusing on enjoying life as much as possible AND building wealth I chose to not go on an OE for a few months backpacking Europe with my friends when I was 23 to save money instead and I regret this deeply There's a video on Youtube that interviews 100 year olds and asks them what they would do differently Pretty much all of them came to the same answer and that was to enjoy life more You can't take your money with you when you die Comment from : Ryan |

The laziness-tip is actually very wise, it's exactly how I think about the time to value ratio where I'm not really asking if something is worth the money, but rather me being at a place I dislike, doing something I dislike for x amount of time Comment from : W Hagalaz K |

Question about the 'free money's with credit cards (and I pay off the one I have on a regular basis because I hate debt): how many do you have and use? Which ones are good (I'm thinking stay away from stores and try ones that can go to something you can use, yes I want to know how I can reduce travel costs)? And I thought adding these will hurt your credit score, so how do you avoid that? Comment from : Jeremiah Williams |

I just don't get it: you ( like a lot of minimalists) say that you pay off your mortgage for your second(!) House by renting the first one!? For so many people with a decent job not even ONE house is realistic those days Comment from : macaron blanc |
