Excellent and effective presentation I have watched other presentations that you have made on this channel and I congratulate you I am glad that I had this opportunity to watch this video Compared to the products presented in this video, I also have something similar Two refracting telescopes: one is for terrestrial observations and the second is for astronomical observations The first telescope is a VANGUARD HD 20-60X82mm refractor, its objective is an ED type doublet with Argon gas for the anti-fogging and anti-condensation effectbrThe second refractor telescope is a Tecnosky APO 70X420mm triplet with two ED FPL55 lenses More importantly, I managed to purchase as eyepieces two pieces of SUPER ED type from ARTESKY of 12mm and respectively 32mm focal lengthbrRegarding astrophotography, I am a beginner I only managed to take a few shots of the moon and mountain landscapes and the world of animals with the help of a smartphonebrHonestly, I would like to be able to make videos on the planets and deepsky objects, but I'm asking for your advice on what I should do specifically? Should I buy a special camera for astrophotography? Is it not possible to take astrophotographs of the planets or DSO with the smartphone?brAnticipated thanks for the answer?

Though there are many thing's one telesope may include, which can make it compared to another of the exact same make and model more expensive There is but one thing that will and would cause a telescope to be more expensive if and when they are both the same model but different make; And that is the "OPTIC'S"brbrThe same goes for the various len's, one can purchase cheap, one can purchase more expensive Why if and when the optic's are of the same quality, would one purchase one that cost more Knowledge of what determine's good optic's from better and better to best Is the key to purchasing the best scope one can afford Purchasing the biggest with poor optic's compared to purchase a smaller with better optic's To the amature is what they generaly do But the avid back yard astronomer with some year's of experience know's That it's the optic's that is important Not the size and shape or additonal "FREE" add on's

Definitely a case of you get what you pay for It's all in the optics Great set of tests Thanks Nico

Just Another Amature Astronomer
$1,750? For $1,449, one can buy a Sky-Watcher 12" f/393 Quattro Imaging Newtonian Telescope (OTA Only) That's 90mm compared to 305mm Might seem to some that a fancy refractor is over priced

DuderinoDeux
V good informative review
Comment from : DuderinoDeux

DuderinoDeux
Rotation is essential I'd say even just for observational astronomy if balancing an issue though length weight dependant Richfields can be small portable and a bargain

How does this Svbony compare to the SV48P? I'm thinking about buying the 48p but i have no clue

And from where do we buy such a telescope? brI saw the Best Buy website that does not have telescopes as good as the one you explain about in the video brBut I don't know where we can get a good telescope and get close to long distances, as shown in this video?😥
Comment from : Hussam Nasser

DELTACX10
6:15 value in this case is how much performance you get per unit of currency
Comment from : DELTACX10

Eduardo Avaria
It's clear to me that the Svbony captured more light There's a lot more stars which should translate into better detail, or more "effective exposure" Probably because the number of glass surfaces that 5-10 per surface (assuming they are all multicoated) are stacking not sure how many surfaces in the reducers, but I guess there's at least 2 more surfaces in the Askar
Comment from : Eduardo Avaria

Freki ™
How did you get rid of the blue/violet halos around the stars on the SVBONY 80? I just purchased the SVBONY and have the halos that are as bad as the Orion

Hi, I started AP last year and have 3 scopes now and still use my ST80 to this day brA few notes about the ST-80:br1 My dew shield gets off of mine, but i think i have the older modelbr2 To reduce gradients, a good and easy tactic is to color the side of your lens with a black permanent marker br3 I needed to add an extension to my camera to be able to get proper focusbr4 it's 100$ frikin dollabr5 I have been able to produce nice images, most problems can be treated in editing
Comment from : Jeremy Boisvert

Arts Model Station
Q: the one for $1700, what do I need to connect my Sony A7r lll ???
Comment from : Arts Model Station

Ed Lazor
How would images from these telescopes compare to images taken from a Sony A7RIV camera with lenses like the 135, 100-400, 200-600, 400, or even the 600?

Hey Nico, did you ever find out what is causing that vigentting at 20:55 on the Askar 80PHQ? I am using a Canon eoe 6D, I seems to have the same problem, but in my case the bottom is vignetted, and the top right left corners are too, the rest seems find? Pls let me know if you ever found anything!

I have a question about the scammer impersonating issue Was the impersonator's comment name also highlighted with the oval shaped grey background around its name ? Something similar happened to me on a different channel and the scammer name had the oval shaped background of the channel owner, he invited me on telegram and there i quickly realized he was trying to scam money out of me and trashed him I want to clarify if this was the actual channel owner or not

Henry Horner
What you see is determined by a) the diameter of the objective, whether it is a lens or miorror b) the optical quality (perfection) of the objective's figuring (c) by the seeing conditions where a person observes There IS NO pat answer for every variable But common wisdom is and always will be the diameter of the objective lens or mirror determining what you can see

Your videos are incredibly informative and helpful, so thank you for all the great work! The Askar design seems great I'm thinking about the 107 rather than the 80 though (I already have a WO Redcat 71 Trying to figure out what kinds of FOV the 107 would offer for galaxies Anyway, outstanding content, thanks again!

HAYDS510
This video was perfect for where I'm at I know very little about telescopes but I've been on the hunt for an amateur setup & have been interested in how ball-park price range translates into visual quality I know there's variables within each bracket but i feel this has been a sound general unpacking

The Celestron 1 1/4 variable zoom is the cream of the crop even for collimation …
Comment from : Bored

I did not have the right stuff with the 1 1/4 inch on the orion so I center it with a 2 1/2 gap between me and the eye piece to hit the moon 🤭 I just wanted to center my potential guide scope

Ferdigrafie
Great comparison, this is very helpful I wonder how the differences would look like with a mono setup with narrowband filters, especially when combined to a color image like with the hubble palette for example maybe an idea for an follow-up video?
Comment from : Ferdigrafie

DrHarryT
I have a NextStar Celestron 6 that's almost twice as much as you most expensive one I got it from my brother before he passed on [he was going to get a better one] and haven't gotten the tracking to work with the star align You have to use three bright stars but 6 times in a row "alignment failed" is displayed I live on a mountain at 4K feet which provide perfect atmospheric conditions but unfortunately have a limited field of view due to pine trees I thought about connecting a DSLR to it but haven't researched it since it has standard eye piece optic holes After he passed on I got some real expensive eyepieces he had kept for his to be new telescope I'll have to wait for summer again when it's warmer and commit myself to operate it in the early morning hours before the sun comes up because here in Northern California that is when the brightest stars come up so I can see if I can get it to align with those bright stars that are sure to be in the database I know the database is in the motorized pedestal because you can align it with the hand control even though you can use a smartphone app connected via WiFi which is actually easier

I've had my eye on the Stellamira 90mm ED triplet for a bit, it's decently fast at 540mm f6 and you can get a reducer / flattener to bring that to 432mm f48

Hi what do you think of Meade Polaris 90 EQ refractor telescope? Does it come with ED glass? Read some reviews it's a good scope, and I bought it but got the feeling only the stand mount is good, but the telescope might be not that good to see good images of Jupiter and more distant planets

Zyx
Correct me if I'm wrong, still new to this, but really want to do astrophotography, but I find it quite confusingbrbrHow come these have a quite high F Value (over F5) compared to a camera lens that is suitable (F2 and below for most optimal) for astrophotography?

Scale Model Enthusiast
I would love to see you do this exercise but compare one telescope (80, 120, 150, C925 ect) against a couple different size sensors (Full frame, ASPC, IMX533) I am curious to see what effect different sensor sizes will have on the field of view I think this could help with choosing my next camera I have my eye on the 2600 right now because I would like to get a wider field of view for larger targets I have a Esprit 120ed and a C925 I am also shooting with the asi533 mono and the asi294 One shot Would my money be better place getting a good 80 like this ASKAR or is the camera the more versatile choice I guess what I am asking is to actually see the effects of image scale

Phil Indeblanc
I wonder how it compares to a Sigma 150-600mm FFrame camera lens I think they have 2 versions, the Sport, which is almost $2k, and the lighetr which is $900 Tamron also has a $900 in the 150-600mm focal length That would be a great comparison to see which has more zoom, and image quality
Comment from : Phil Indeblanc

Dee Bee
Well… that’s great 😊… so for the rest of us mere mortals… you know the every day mum and dad folks… who sees a telescope in the Aldi store and buy it for our 8 year old all I hear from you is gobbledygook with your ED refraction lens … whatever the fuck that is my wife and I are both medical Doctors… so, we aren’t stupid… but seriously dude first off? get a fucken haircut… second … ? stop trying to be a wanker … 3rd ? … don’t make a dumbarse video about comparisons…all this video does is feed into some narrative that promotes your own narcissism… and get a fucken haircut… Woodstock was last century
