Thank you for this review I was a customer of the ATT cable box for more than 20 years, and I rarely had a problem with my service even when I purchased two of the latest smartTVs Unfortunately, ATT informed me that they had to bring the "fiber optic upgrade" to my TV service The ATT fiber upgrade destroyed the excellent TV service which I had been receiving I purchased ATT's affiliate--DirectTV Stream, hoping that my excellent TV service would be restored I've now had DirectTV for five days, and EVERY day I've had internet connection problems which have caused me to lose TV and internet services as if I were living in a Third World country If I don't find a reliable TV streaming service, I'm soon going to have to resign myself to living with a lot less TV services, and save a great deal of money A major problem for most of us seems to be that our homes are NOT wired for fiber optic connection services

At present I am using 2 Rokus in different rooms Can I sell one and get a Amazon fire stick to get free YouTube tv? Are these two systems ok to use in the same home? Any advice will be appreciated

Lets promote Google & those corp criminals!! Great plan!

YouTube TV doesn't carry History Channel, so i needed to get Hulu Live TV plus i need a service that carries NBC Sports Philadelphia i haven't really messed with the DVR option yet, that said i am still getting a better deal than paying 16000 a month when i had Comcast Cable, and that wasn't with internet service since i was getting that thru Verizon
Comment from : Mike D

Music man
I started streaming to save money otherwise whats th the point?
Comment from : Music man

michael mascari
It buffered at least once or twice a day
Comment from : michael mascari

Jack Wilson
I have the same buffering and canceled recordings problems with Spectrum
Comment from : Jack Wilson

Mark Barrett
You get what you pay for and DirecTV Stream offers the most national channels out of all the live streaming TV services People hate on DirecTV Stream for being on the more expensive side, but unless you don't watch hardly any TV, it is actually worth the price for their ultimate package People will argue that YouTube TV is the best live streaming TV service, but the service is lacking the A&E Networks, Science channel, Cooking channel, Reelz and a few other channels
Comment from : Mark Barrett

Erica Chitwood
Hulu sucks
Comment from : Erica Chitwood

jeffreyknapp74
I was wondering if having a higher internet speed rate would change the buffering issue? I have 200mps speed and was thinking about going with hulu live or youtube tv I like what fubo was offering but no TNT or TBS
Comment from : jeffreyknapp74

Louis Dorato
Two things: Seinfeld is also one of my very favorite sit-coms, and there is no way I would ever subscribe to Hulu Even the name sounds gay, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" :)
Comment from : Louis Dorato

JAJRS
I have Fubo tv and enjoyed it very much I understand rate hikes but not like this! It would have been better if they gave us a choice on the sports increase rather than shove it down our throats I will be leaving Fubo tv and most likely go with YouTube TV I’m glad I still have the choice to leave, and you guys really do I nice job in helping me decipher between all of this Thanks so much
Comment from : JAJRS

Lorenzo
I like YouTube tv but the 4k quality is “TRASH” also I’ve recorded Games & once I go back to watch sometimes it’ll freeze, I had to unplug my tv a hand full of times I’m thinking to switching to Hulu tv but after watching this video… 🤔
Comment from : Lorenzo

Ant W
I absolutely love your videos thank you so much
Comment from : Ant W

Ikie Light
I agree, I was with Hulu Live for over a year and left because of that and the fast forward glitches
Comment from : Ikie Light

Howard Sprague
You both rock!! Thank you Getting ready to cut the cord Now how can I watch my Phillies this summer without cable? I live in Philly area
Comment from : Howard Sprague

Judy Johnson
What is an RSN fee?
Comment from : Judy Johnson

Justintm
I only have Hulu plus but after watching this I think I’ll pass on looking into Hulu plus live tv
Comment from : Justintm

Brad C
Thanks for the information on Hulu I was at a friend's house and saw multiple incidences of buffering My friend thought her Internet was being throttled
Comment from : Brad C

Ken Hillblom
I ended up with DTV Stream Only service that has my local NBA team I got their box as a refurb for $49 and it works well, it's all about the remote
Comment from : Ken Hillblom

ljacobs357
After trying all streaming services I find Direct TV to be the fastest with the best interface We have a place overseas and often got location doesn't support message from YouTube TV, even with a VPN set to the US Never had this problem with Direct TV Stream I just use Roku so don't need the Direct TV Stream box As for the price increase it won't be long before other services increase their rates As for 4k, YouTube TV charges quite a lot for this service
Comment from : ljacobs357

John Pinner
Fubo works for my wife and me , will never go to YouTube just for political reasons
Comment from : John Pinner

Steve Johnson
At the price points you're referencing, I wouldn't even free-trial these companies That goes to me being antenna-only since 2014 Our household must have saved over $7000 by now, and our lives are no poorer for the change
Comment from : Steve Johnson

JakeLong
I would even argue that YouTube TV should be put on the avoided list! Video quality is grainy and compressed Looks as if the HD streams are just upscaled 720p or even 480p It's also too pricey for what you get There are really only 3 good live tv streaming services if you want all the channels Sling, Fubo and Vidgo If you're not a sports person, Philo and FrndlyTV are pretty cheap
Comment from : JakeLong

Mike A
I was a FuboTV customer but after them wanting to charge me an extra $1399 for the RSN fee, along with another $5 per month added to my package, bringing my net cost to just over $100, I cancelled them and went with YouTube TV I am new to Youtube TV and noticed I am not allowed to watch live news, only their recorded versions which I can view later - no big deal What is a big deal is that I am unable to watch ANY hockey games during hockey season When I go to view any Boston Bruins, or Pittsburg Penguins, or Washington Capitals, or Montreal Canadian hockey games, there is a padlock where the channel name is I thought Youtube TV allowed me to watch live sports - how come I can't watch them live, or even recorded????????? I live in the state of Maine (in the United States in the New England area) Am I missing something? Is there a way for me to watch these hockey games or am I disallowed to watch any hockey during hockey season? Also, I'll be curious if I will be able to watch MotoGP motorcycle racing later this year on YoutubeTV Those races used to air on NBCSN If I can't watch those races either, I might just cancel streaming services altogether and buy a MotoGP videopass for $15680 per year, which equates to about $13 per month Sad that streaming services can't be "all inclusive"
Comment from : Mike A

oscar da grouch
Spectrum tv, is outrageous most expensive DTV Stream Is half of what Spectrum tv offers
Comment from : oscar da grouch

Steve Helton
Biggest problem with Fubo and Youtubetv neither have the History channel
Comment from : Steve Helton

Kevin Stoker
Totally agree with your take Also, I noticed Hulu Live has more and more shows that require you to watch ads even if you paid for no ads That really put me over the edge and I’m much happier with YouTube TV Thanks for the content
Comment from : Kevin Stoker

SFbenjaminK
I have you tube TV since the beginning was $35 a month is almost a decade now , NEVER cancelled or change to others, Best of the Best piss on the rest!
Comment from : SFbenjaminK

Morgan Carrico
I tried YouTube tv trial, but decided against it as my local sports was blacked out Somethings that did not happen with spectrum cable I also tried fuboTV, but was unhappy because they did not have TNT and also because I feel like the quality of the picture was not up to standard definitely a Worst picture than YouTube or My Spectrum I wonder if anybody could explain that I think they said or I read something about they broadcast in 720 P only but some 1080 P for those reasons I dumped fubo also I went back to Spectrum and pay a little bit more to use their Internet TV with no boxes The app works fairly well, and although it may not have the frills, it’s pretty solid
Comment from : Morgan Carrico

Deb Dawson
I really liked Fubu but they are charging for more sports channels I don't watch sport but I liked their set up and the easy of scrolling through live TV and searching for shows and movies I am just not going to pay the additional rates I have dropped fubu and went with utube tv
Comment from : Deb Dawson

Eddie C
Great review and helping us decide what to use and not use Thank you
Comment from : Eddie C

Don Draper
We have recently moved to YTTV and will be ending FuboTV at the end of this month While we preferred fubo's DVR capability, we don't care about the RSN's and therefore the price hike was not palatable We run both on Apple 4K devices (latest gen) and have no issues with YouTube and PQ is similar for us FuboTV is betting that sports fanatics will pay though the nose to get their RSNs and don't care about non-sports viewers as customers Only time will tell if this approach was business savvy or wrong
Comment from : Don Draper

Rose Moore
Hi We have Hulu live and are planning on cancelling I will miss a few channels and was wondering if you might know how I can get them free, live or on demand The shows I really like are Bob's Burger (love), Cable news (for background noise while sewing) and a few shows from Network and FX (Resident Alien) I have an indoor antenna and will be trying that for my local channels Thank you for your videos
Comment from : Rose Moore

Nick Perkins
I have an ESPN+ feed going through Hulu, but not the full “Hulu Live “ package The ESPN portion of my Hulu subscription works fine I’m sorry to hear about the issues with the complete Hulu Live subscription
Comment from : Nick Perkins

Samuel Frick
It’s like I said earlier, if your favorite sports team is on Bally Sports, just bleeping use a free trial or pay the $20/month for their service Yes, their app is garbage, but come on! This is my take on FuboTV’s acquisition of the Bally RSN’s is… (as I use my Daniel Craig reference) “NO!!!! It’s just DUMB!!”
Comment from : Samuel Frick

Derek Vallem
I’ve only tried the cheaper services- Frndly, Sling, and currently Philo, mainly to watch Yellowstone
Comment from : Derek Vallem

Rob Burcham
I was finally able to drop Live TV and stick to it I like saving $50 a month, I had Sling with a sports package Viewers could save more by dropping more expensive streamers I want to watch shows when I want to watch them, not when they're available live I've watched dozens of House Hunters and not one of them live I agree a Live service is nice for news and sports but those can be found on other channels My wife likes CNN but that's the only thing she watched on Sling $50 for one program? I don't think so I keep thinking people are going to wake up and drop their $70 a month habit for Live TV Come over to the dark side, the On Demand side
Comment from : Rob Burcham

Y Not
Paramount is awful
Comment from : Y Not

Jim Gifford
Fubu not having tnt is important to hockey fans!!!
Comment from : Jim Gifford

Eric Gardner
Fubo was better than Youtube in my experience I've had both Still have Fubo
Comment from : Eric Gardner

Michael Schlitter
I think you’ll find that all other services catch up in price with dtv stream Dtv was just the first to raise them You saw fubo raise their price and YouTube tv can’t be far off if they care about making a profit I personally love dtv stream and they are the only service that offers masn for Baltimore/Washington sports fans
Comment from : Michael Schlitter

Nate G
they're all overpriced since they all went up from $35 a month, none of which get my money any more, I stick with FRNDLY TV for now cheapest and it's getting better, they may not add a ton of channels but I like how they fix issues with the app, finally don't get sent to top of guide everytime exiting channel, you get switched out to the channel you exited, at least with chromecast google tv, FRNDLY app version 029, I have no buffering issues ever just like watching cable, love it, I'd probably go back to YTTV though if they'd ever offer the original lineup for $35, but know that's never gonna happen
Comment from : Nate G

Scott Barton
We prefer Youtube TV, but we go with Hulu Live TV as we get a good bundle rate with our Disney Plus services Savings outweighs preference in this case
Comment from : Scott Barton

Dan Kelley
Isn’t it amazing that these companies are raising rates while a lot of people are struggling with inflation I’d dump all three of these companies as that the only way they will pay attention to customer issues, bad service & very bad practice as not including fees that they’ll charge but don’t advertise
Comment from : Dan Kelley

Dale Wiley
Great job as always
Comment from : Dale Wiley

Peter Atkinson
My wife & I just switched from Hulu Live to YTTV after the price increase We had the DVR & buffering issues that you mentioned with Hulu We also never used ESPN+ & Disney+
Comment from : Peter Atkinson

CFL-TECH
DirecTV Stream interface is rather good The price is well, not so The base package though is not far off in cost from the competition The higher packages though are rather pricey and many probably won't watch enough TV to make it worth itThe Hulu interface is not robust enough and moving around the interface is clunky Oh, the canceling service process with DirecTV Stream is very dated with the need to chat or speak with customer service The customer should have the option to come and go as they please in an open streaming market
Comment from : CFL-TECH

Brother John Causey
Still love YouTube TV Still my #1 streaming tv pic
Comment from : Brother John Causey

Matt Stehouwer
Hulu interface sucks and we are looking at switching
Comment from : Matt Stehouwer

Peter Beers
You have to pay extra for 4k on YouTube tv
Comment from : Peter Beers

Annissa Amegbe
I agree with what you said about Hulu live The service is not the best Plus, I noticed when watching on demand shows the sound and visual lip movements do not matchedbrI too had issues with shows I thought were recording were actually not Plus, you cannot record CW shows brI will move on from Hulu but it will take me so time because I need to know that the next streaming service has mostly all my channels and user friendlybrThanks for your videos because you really break it down in ways that is understandable and give great tips
Comment from : Annissa Amegbe

pete scott
spectrum int and cable is 148 No buffering and no complaints
Comment from : pete scott

Scott Boland
Fubo tv is horrible A very grainy picture and blurry Other services like Disney + work just fine so I’m still searching
Comment from : Scott Boland

Jeff Junigan
Great video I'm on the edge about canceling Dtv But I'm trying to be patient which one (Youtube tv or Fubo) has a channel/price change
Comment from : Jeff Junigan

Space Ghost
I know that you folks are probably on top of the changes that YouTube tv is currently testing with SOME customers, such as upgraded Library control, more changes to the Live Guide like adding a clock, and limited time price reductions for the 4k add-onbrHaving said that, it would also be nice to see a comprehensive review of these changes, and for you to review the link between YouTube and YouTube tv in that you can now subscribe to many of their add-ons and watch them on BOTHbrI know it's a lot, but I think you are up to itbrThat's one I would really enjoy seeing :-)
Comment from : Space Ghost

CG FamTeam
I was going to cancel but my Dad agreed to share Dtv stream as I'm the only one using it where I livebrbrWhile DTV stream is $100 now I'm still saving $60 from when I had Uverse
Comment from : CG FamTeam

gene mitchell
Completely agree with your video
Comment from : gene mitchell

John Payne
Early on in the begining of streaming I believe all companies had te right ideal Low prices, no contracts, and some choices which we all wanted But we have reverted back to cable or satlite with the only missing factor is a contract Hulu & Fubo have really gone down hill as far as service goes But we are still missing the choice we want Divide the each service up into blocks Locals, Sports, News, Movies, Entertainment and Extras ( NBA & NFL, NHL, ) Let us pick the blocks we want But profit will always win out over customers ever time
Comment from : John Payne

Space Ghost
You really pegged it with the horrible Hulu UI experiencebrIt shows that they really don't care about customer service at allbrThey have known about the buffering issue for WELL over a year now, and have done absolutely nothing to fix it You would think that they were writing a program for a manned mission to MarsbrbrAs for Fubo vs DTS, I personally would put DTS slightly ahead because AT LEAST they include the Turner channels With Fubo now FORCING the RSNs on customers, and being disingenous in that they don't include the forced price increase in their advertisements, they have, IMO now fallen behind DTS It's the kind of bait and switch that we see with CABLE companiesbrMAYBE after Feb 6th that will change We shall seebrI hope that YouTube tv continues to refuse forcing those RSNs and the accompanying price hikes on THEIR customersbrAs for ME, I couldn't care less about the RSNs
