As far as surfaces to anneal on, fire brick (sometimes called refractory) is a cheap means to an end Many hardware and builders supply stores carry it It comes in different sizes, but I get the thinner ones which are around an inch and a half thick $299 each in my local hardware store (Ace) It’s used to line wood stoves, and fire won’t harm it Comment from : Tom T |
