actually its not really, i can build cpu miners that are comparable in hashrate which draw a bit more power in price comparison, perhaps good for those who cannot build cpu miners i can build an epyc dual cpu rig which draws around 440 watts and does around 50khs, so 4 rigs is 200khs, drawing 1760 watts total my cost per miner is about 1200 canadian, this asic miner is 5k dollars for me so a bit more wattage but less cost outlay i can also re sell my components where this asic is what it is and could end up being worthless in time plus my miners can mine pretty much any cpu coin going

Crypto isn't about "anonymous crypto" or "super cool layer 1 blockchain TeChNoloGy oOoOo" anymore It's about what our hardware can do like what dynex, clore and others are doing with supercomputing replication and AI generation / deployment in the real world Or like Flux with their cloud computing and wallet platform etc Dynex and flux I think are the best deployment of crypto so far (aside from our lord and savior Bitcoin of course)

Not an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) it's full of RISC-V (Reduced Instruction Set Computer 5) cpus So still mining with cpus just many small ones crammed into a box Should be able to mine other algorithms too

GPU mining is still cool if you are running on solar I still make cool cash with my few 12 GPU using solar Hydro power is another way to go for mining with GPUs I am building one right now

I would agree that they are unlikely to fork It's just not that big of a dip in the pool Yes you can technically define it as an asicbut its really not with the way that we have defined ASICs It's still CPU miningits just strings of cpusthats why its multi algo It ckuld also be programmed for use for a lot more because of that and also presents an issue for forking brbrIts not that it is more efficient or will outperform other cpu options for efficiency You hit the nail on the head when you said plug and play A person will be able to get into CPU mining with a plug and play setup that is profitable and considerably less expensive than an EPYC The low watts means i could run 8 of them easily on a single 50 amp breaker I think it is a little deceptive to brand them as asicsand probably not a great marketing strategy for the xmr community either The ease of use and cost are the big sellers

Thank you Vosk for your videos Much appreciated I think that in the future the desire for private transactions will grow The Canadian trucker issue and Political free speech organizations getting their content demonetized in various ways are just two examples of a power attacking others with monetary means It won't be long before people have a history of what they spent money on If one of the things you spent money on fall out of favor with the people in power, you might start losing your ability to use your hard earned money

You still ARE CPU mining monero with X5 :) This thing uses scrapped AWS and Azure web-server RISC processors BTW, a well-tuned 7950x rig gets almost the same efficiency, roughly 20khash/135 watts Guess the price? $500 lol

I think this just shows the strength of random x The best ASIC manufacturers could do was cram a bunch of cpu cores in a box Once the 8000 AMD cpus drop they will have similar or better performance than this box Sadly nobody cares about anonymous crypto tho They would Rather buy into the Bitcoin surveillance network and expose their entire financial history to the world and participate in the meme of orange coin go up Sad Monero is what Bitcoin wishes it was

hey, you know the xmr mining rig, is nice, because it does more than just 1 coin, like kaspa miner, only does kaspa coins, scrypt miner does a ton of coins, bitcoin miner does all kinds of coins, so not sure if kaspa is for mejust sayin what you think
