Hey man, great video… I can see ATX form factor b450… it’s much cheaperbr“ASUS PRIME B450M-K II AMD B450 AM4 micro ATX motherboard” would it still at least get the job done? Comment from : كلام كريبتو |
Hi Seb How are you doing? I got your advice about the CPU choose, but what do you think about the new 7950X3D?brIt has both power efficiency and almost same price as 7950X Would you recommend it for CPU mining? :) Comment from : MRX625 |
Hey Seb I am trying to figure out how to mine with my cpus and get paid out in Xrp with unmineable but I just cant figure it out, I have tried for quite some time now I can do it on Windows but I cant figure out how to do it in hiveos Im closing in on 20 cpus now and I would love to get paid and stack some xrp Do you, or anyone here, have any tips for me? Would be much appreciated Comment from : kompalol |
What is the cooler on the CPU and how did you get it? It looks like a model that was discontinued by AMD, but I just wanted to check Comment from : maschlau |
Dude, love the look with that GPU you threw on the rig behind you What model card is that? Can't hurt to add it to your CPU mining build list either for Amazon affiliation I'd have clicked on it just to see It's a good look and might try to find it once you share which card it is! Thanks for all the hard work over the last few years, been watching you since RPM promoted you and got you those first 1000 subs if I remember correctly! Comment from : Jason Popp |
Hmmm… i buy few 5900x … power consumption 215w … Comment from : Goran Kunovic |

I am not sure what motherboards you support the most, but I would recommend the MSI or AORUS motherboards instead of ASUS I am a CPU miner, and I got a several rigs on CPU The reason I would adress this is because ASUS motherboard just support RAM-sticks that are listed in their vendorlist If you use, lets say, a memory stick from an unknown vendor, but have the same "settings" as those on the vendorlist, the ASUS motherboard will not boot-up when you have them in dual-slot or more But it will boot up if you have it covered in one slot ASUS are very strickt on this issue, to make sure you use the correct vendorlisted ram for their motherboard! How big of a difference on using ram cl14 and cl16? on randomx for example Comment from : Pedro Roldan |
randomx is profitable now even on residential electric if you point it at nicehash, my single 5950x rig earns same income as my entire 6x3060 rigbrI remember watching SOAT's video on CPU mining rigs and he said that mobos with two 8 pins are beneficial for max hashrate, lolbrI run my entire CPU rigs off single 6 pin from a server PSU hehe Comment from : Arek R |
is there a recording of the red panda live stream? Comment from : ButtonDeity |
great video Seb! could you please follow this up with actual in depth setup for newbs including acquiring the software and putting it on the system, getting set up with an algo and coin mining brto me the hardware part is the easy part Comment from : ButtonDeity |
Hey Seb! Long time subscriber and fan I was on the live stream with you and RPM yesterday and you asked about throughput and getting videos out faster I had no idea how long it takes to make a good video until I started doing it myself Have you ever considered hiring someone to edit and put your footage together? That's what takes me the longest! Sometimes I spend 6 to 8 hours shooting and editing Comment from : Greater Good Mining |
You said you can get any Ryzen 9 cpu and go for what’s cheaper The 3900x seems to be going for $360 usd on major retailers while the 5900x is going for $300 usd on major retailers In your previous video you said the the 3900x is second only to the 7950x So my question is would someone be leaving a lot of performance on table going with 5900x vs 3900x? Comment from : Ryan |
If the rig pulls 100 watts, can you just buy a 1000W power supply and run 5 of those same type rigs on it? Do they sell 5 port splitters? Comment from : Diogenes 287 |
Grt informative stuff as always, popped two 8 gigs stics in my 5900x rig mining to Nicehash and instantly increase in harsh rate😊 Comment from : Mads_Jet |
when powering 2 rigs with 1 psu, if the rigs are windows, will they work ok? if one rig restart, will it affect the other rig? Comment from : Kang |
Thx for the video But @Red Panda mining just released a video saying cpu mining is only profitable for a very short period of time Hard to decide 😢 Comment from : / cc |
i started watching rabid's guides a couple weeks ago , no jk i watched like 10+ videos 😂 cuz it felt way complicated than gpu - ASIC mining brand eventually entered the cpu mining scene with 3900x 180$ and x570 99$ and 8GBx2 3000 30$ all of them usedbrbut the rest which is the storage, case, psu all were sitting doing nothing so i used them Comment from : Turki Targaryen |
good informative content as always 👍🏼 Comment from : Hash Force |
Yo! SEB I'm interested in the 7950x AM5 build Also, this need for GPU is it really necessary? If so, can I just use any old GPU? Comment from : Dubby X |
Great video Recently got into CPU mining Cant wait to see the overclocking videos Comment from : Chris Nichols |
What electric companys do u recomended in sweden? Comment from : Mooria Devil |
Did I skip the cpu cooler part? Stock AMD Prizm ones work very well Also Mini-ITX mobos will save a lot of space and not that much more 45 degree plastic stands are also awesome to save space Comment from : Man Cave Crypto |
Good video, but you don't recommend a CPU cooler Comment from : Holger Wittig |
Thanks, Boss Comment from : Man Cave Crypto |
I can't find the part discription link Comment from : Abio Dun |
Can you do a video on how to CPU mine using profit-switching? Im currently using HiveOS, but open to other options Comment from : Ron Watkins |
Great stud Seb I’ve also been diving into CPU mining Having a hard time deciding on consumer grade vs server grade The AMD Epyc stuff is very enticing and will perform really well for PoUW when the time comes So many variables I think it is time for a spreadsheet 😉 Comment from : MineSum10 |
Hey Seb Great video All the support hoping we survive this brutal bear market All the best Seb Comment from : Kent Arnett |
