I remember 10 years ago when I first melted my first piece of silver But I’m all certainly wouldn’t melt down bullion that holds someone of a premium For a chunk of silver that needs to be drilled through it shaved to be tested for purity brbrIt’s like those guys who meltdown PAMP bars Losing that $50 premium Comment from : TheOutsidersPost |
|
The voids on the bottom of the bars is from the gases built up in the metal from the propaneelectrical furnaces dont give this issue when pouring silver But I think it gives the bars more characterI find it easier to pour from a smaller crucible but that's just me Comment from : HD Dyna lowrider |

Nice bars! In would also like to make some silver bars I have a devilforge, exact the same you have But I think I will use an electril furnace/kiln for silver I will also prepare a pouring setup with a burner hitting those moulds while pouring Give them a small tap while solodifying will give them some nice ripples, just the way I love them! I will also need to invest in a tumbler to get them as smooth and shiny as possible Hopefully one day when I build a new shed or buy a garage box I will start melting silver Just subbed 😁👍👍👍 Comment from : Metalscrapper |
