People love dragging out military through the mud but fail to mention that soldiers and other military personnel don't see any of this supposed overfunding to actually take care of them But yall love saying "thank you for your service" or "we support the troops" brbrInstead of acting as if the military DOESN'T need funding, lets about where that funding can be better spent Better medical care for all (men, women, trans, nonbinary etc) and yes that includes things such as Viagra and abortions, better mental health aid for active members and veterans, better food, better living conditions, better programs to help spouses and families, the list can absolutely go on If a country wants an active fighting force willing to put the lives, bodies and minds on the line, the BARE MINIMUM it should do is actually take care of them

I get that she is trying to point out that the government could fun so many things if all they did was cut some of the wasteful spending in the Military Got it I don’t disagree However, money spent on Viagra is not a waste It is part of the Medical treatment for the soldiers The American Military is now a volunteer force When young men were drafted at 18 years old and released before they are 25 there may not have been a high need for things like Viagra but now you are hoping that a young man or young woman sees the military as a possible place to gain some work experience maybe even a career for 20 or 30 years When you make that commitment your medical plan has to cover not just the needs of military activities but also help your service people with their “Quality of Life” issues Senior soldiers are not just soldiers they are husbands and wives, fathers and mothers and they have medical issues that come with being a human being that is getting older The military medical plan has to be able to help people decide to stay in the military brbrThe King Crab thing, again, a Quality of Life issue Looking after your people goes a long way to helping them decide to stay in the military

There is a lot of waste in the military budget but I think she is way off base on the crab thing That food is actually fed to the soldiers, it's not like its some officer exclusive and if we can hand our 18 and 19 year old's guns to go fight for us the very least we can do is feed them top quality meals This stuff makes me cringe because there are plenty of fat cat military contractors that could be taken down instead of trying to feed garbage to our soldiers
