509 (a)(2) Public charities can also have DISQUALIFIED persons, in fact, certain GOVERNMENT units can become a DISQUALIFIED person under the 509(a)(2) support test You should go deeper into that? Private Operating Foundations do not have to comply with the mandatory distribution rules of a private foundation And one last note, deductions only qualify for the 60 deduction to public charities if the donation is cash, other transactions (donations) such as real estate may be granted at a cost basis for the first year and you can take the remainder of the donation over a 5 year period Comment from : Wayne Montgomery |
