Sure the top 1 may pay the most in taxes, but at a completely unfair level With the amount of tax breaks they get, on top of the illegal tax evasion that i would argue most of them do, it does not affect them the same it does the middle class The poor class do get a lot of benefits as well I think the ones that really get screwed over in this country are the lower-middle class by far They make too much money to qualify for government assistance, but they dont make enough net income to survive at all For example, my girlfriend and i collectively earn about 75k a year gross and dont qualify for govt aid and also can barely make due

Contract awards need to be re-evaluated Every grant/contract awarded to a university has about 50 taken for "overhead" Some of it does go to services associated with fulfilling the grant, but a not insignificant portion does not Now if these awards are being fulfilled satisfactorily, does this mean by extension that grants awarded to private entities are 20 too high? Lots of waste creeps in, but who has the power to change it? The program monitors at federal agencies can't do anything about it, and politicians just want to show how much tax money is "going back" to their state No matter what they say, they really don't care about efficiency, just that their district is reaping benefits

Something that most people in cities don't realize - there is a VERY LARGE portion of suburban and rural areas that WANT broadband internet but can't get it because there isn't a company willing to bring it to them There are plenty of places in the US (surprisingly) that has no broadband and not even cell signal Those federal programs to get broadband to those rural communities are essential Do we need that many? Probably not But one program can only serve or focus on so many areas Don't assume that anyone who wants internet can get it It just makes you look out of touch with everyday Americans in rural communities

The issue is Congress is not doing their job by the American people When a lying snake is questioned by congress they are allowed to skirt the question instead of answering and they eat up their time of questioning while not answering anything These people should face consequences instantly for this, any normal civilian who shows to court doesn't have their judge on a 'time' to ask questions and the civilian if lying gets sent to jail period
