if you dont mind a bit of a drive, sidney is definitely worth a visit! its right near the airport and not too far from the ferry terminal (about 30 mins from vic) its a nice little coastal town with tons of great cafes and views its super walkable and i find it much friendlier than most parts of victoria

Comment from : Anita

SEAN T
Victoria has the 3rd most sun days in all of Canada It is mostly cloudy and rainy in the winter as opposed to snowing, so I wouldn't say it rains all the time
Comment from : SEAN T

SEAN T
My opinion but I think you should include the metric system when doing these travel videos
Comment from : SEAN T

Tye Teames
Can we all realize and learn the vast difference between afternoon tea and high tea, for the grace of God you are having afternoon tea Just trust me on this one

ConTroller418
This year, The Empress Tea is $89, before tax and gratuity Tea at the Butchart Gardens is $45 and at the Pendray House (formerly the Gatsby Mansion), it is $62brbrFor $20 you can come to my place to guzzle tea and and stuff your face with as many sandwiches as you can stomach, in a single sitting brbrLooks like you came in the fall, when it does start getting rainy In the summer there is almost no rain from June to September
Comment from : ConTroller418

ConTroller418
That Aircraft Carrier is American and is now a museum in New York We do occasionally see active US Carriers here on furlough, where the kids on board like that the drinking age in BC, is 19 rather than 21brbrThe Canadian Pacific Fleet is composed of a dozen very modest vessels (by American standards), including three, Victoria Class diesel electric submarines
Comment from : ConTroller418

Gurni makes a video
Im going there tomorrow
Comment from : Gurni makes a video

Comment from : Pi-neil1wheel TëřpN0!D

Darrell MacDonald
I don't know where you got your admission price for Buchart Gardens, but it hasn't been $25 for over 20yrs, it is currently $38, sadly making it unaffordable for me to take my family of 6 now
Comment from : Darrell MacDonald

Robert Beaumont
Great video You missed a couple of major things to go and visit Craigdarroch castle and mostly Hately Castle Hately castle has beautiful gardens and a beautiful building Movies like X Men and Smallville have been filmed there It's my favorite place to go visit in Victoria As a person who was born and lived here
Comment from : Robert Beaumont

Comment from : Ka Tilda

Liddle Mountain
Ive spent my whole life in Victoria and the surrounding gulf islands, born and breed I agree with comments bellow! locals stay clear of government street businesses and restaurants The best part about Victoria is walking along Dallas road, the seafood, Gold stream park
Comment from : Liddle Mountain

Padi Mills
Be prepared if you are downtown Victoria to get stabbed or hit across the head with a baseball bat We locals don't even go downtown anymore Our stupid mayor has allowed very high density condos built on any bare patch Increased density equals increased crime vVictoria is not the city they all project
Comment from : Padi Mills

Brenda Quinn
Your coverage is crazy good Your depth of coverage is so good I commend your tiny human’s patience
Comment from : Brenda Quinn

Dallas M
The mall downtown there is this older chinam4n who chainsmokes & sits in front of the mall entrance asking for 10 dollars Guy isn't homeless just on welfare The most entitled panhandler I have ever seen "I NEED 10 DOLLA I AM HUNGRY"
Comment from : Dallas M

J B
Great video, but as a Victorian, I would recommend skipping the Empress for tea It is insanely expensive brbrIf you are interested in tea, Jaga Silk offers some of the best matcha you get get outside of Japan, Silk Road is a world class loose leaf tea vendor, Murchie's has excellent tea and pastries/desserts, Flourish BeauTea is offering incredible modern Japanese style tea and Boba Dog and The Bubble Tea Place both offer very tasty bubble teabrbrI would also mention that Victoria isn't simply known for having lots of restaurants, it has an incredibly strong brunch and west-coast dining scene, both of which epitomize the dining experiences unique to Victoria Blue Fox, the Ruby, Shine Cafe and Jam are all local, incredible brunch spots The Hallway, 10 Acres and Saveaur are all higher-end restaurants that are definitively West CoastbrbrThe other other comment I would add is that Red Fish Blue Fish, operating out of 2 sea cans in the inner harbour, is hands down the best fish and chips in the city Wait times can get up to an hour on weekends though, so plan ahead
Comment from : J B

Exposing Proxy Stalking Organized Harassment
Yes, be unformed or you will miss all the activity menu options
Comment from : Exposing Proxy Stalking Organized Harassment

Comment from : Cece

Rebekah Andersen
Lived in Vic my whole life this is a decent video and I appreciate your time and nice reviews High tea and the Malahat Skywalk are totally wastes of money though You get the same view of the Saanich inlet from the totally free pit stop on the side of the hwy
Comment from : Rebekah Andersen

Jesus Villanueva
Question? when you are eating outside at fishermen's wharf Do they have seagulls that will bother you or poop on you
Comment from : Jesus Villanueva

Michelle Lambert
As a Victorian, I’d like to make a small correction While we do get significant rainfall here, that does not mean that it rains all the time, nor does it mean that the sun doesn’t shine It definitely does But this spring hasn’t been a great indicator of that 😎☀️
Comment from : Michelle Lambert

Damon X
The ferries are also good for spotting wildlife Doplhins, Killer Whales, Sea lions etc
Comment from : Damon X

if you dont want to see drug addicts, avoid pandora street bit of a problem but it is what it isbrif youre in a rental car, keep near speed limit (less than 10km/h above limit), cuz cops are usually out on main roads with radar gunsbrpersonally i recommend burger crush on fort street, they got good cheeseburgers and fries
Comment from : roof cat

InZane Budman
Just for your information the malahat viewpoint does not Overlook a lake That is part of the "The Georgia Straight" Part of the Pacific Ocean Or what Carolyn Keith said 😁
Comment from : InZane Budman

ShikariSahib
There is a reason that guy is sporting rain gear--sometimes the grey, damp and drizzle never ends and the citizenry celebrates when the sun showsbrIf you don't have webbed feet--this is not the place to live long termbrThat drizzle and damp finally drove me outbrbrBTW--thats not a lake you see from the Malahat Observation Tower as the narrator wrongly said--it is Saanich inlet--an ocean inlet or fjord
Comment from : ShikariSahib

XxXNinjaFan7638XxX
i hate to dump on the video, but did you say makahat skywalk? lol
