I think data entry is not so bad You could work from home and listen to music You don’t have to work with people if you are introverted and you can get more advanced and technical data entry later You can start from a temp agency and find something permanent later But yes, could be a bit monotonous Stretch your wrists too

As a former Realtor I highly disagree You should ONLY go into real estate if you have a very large existing social circle (like, in highschool terms, you’re *super popular*), and be prepared for extremely hefty fees for all of the orgs you have to be a member of You’ll spend thousands a year just to BE a Realtor

Waited tables many years before getting thru school I don’t know of any place that I could’ve lived off working there 10-15 hours a week We have to share about 20 of tips Even in school-I worked 30-40 hours a week and made less than 25k back in the early 2000’s

I definitely liked this video I just got out of active duty after 2 combat deployment wanted to do something got into OTR truck driving for a few companies wasn’t the best for me now I’m pursuing tech Just got certified in Tech sales and also get certified in coding i hope it’s a better experience than what I had as a truck driver which wasn’t the best

As someone who worked at a Texas roadhouse for two years, food service is a D tier The work is hard and the pay is mediocre, but it is a good first job I'm sick of it now, but the experience of busting my ass for $7-14 an hour was enlightening (kind of)

i will put this out their is you become a truck driver beware of seeking mental health treatment my career was destroyed by being diagnosed with depression and anxiety and t he medications that I need are not DOT approved so I lost my license because I was not able to pass my dot physical

Im 24, cant drive, nor have i ever held a job I can not find a first job that fits me personally! As weird as it sounds, Data Entry sounds like the best one lol Im not looking to make gazillions my first year, id legitimately be happy with $1000 a month I just want to know what its like to earn money and have SOME responsibility, but i also want to have a life outside of working (for now at least) Ive been spoiled my whole life and i want to try something new!

I would also add pharmacy technician It's super easy to get into and the pay can be decent depending on where you work You can get training on the job and take a course provided by your job instead of going to school for it But of course you could do that too You can become certified and make more BUT retail pharmacy is tough because you have to deal with A LOT of Karens and frustrated/angry people It can be mentally exhausting I have only worked at two pharmacies so far and I'm trying to get out of retail and work at either a hospital or a pharmacy that doesn't deal with the public I've worked at Walmart and Walgreens and I would say that Walmart is better Better pay, and more hours But in retail, just be prepared to be yelled at, cursed at, have things thrown at you, and people giving you attitude for whatever reason People can just be really nasty sometimes

when it comes to trucking companies have a reputation for screwing over their employees one way or another, it's not easy finding a good employer that will pay well It also depends on what kind of truck specialty you're doing flat bed, verse box truck weather you own your own truck or not I've heard that your first year you will not get paid well unless you work with big companys like amazon or Walmart

As a federal security guard going on 5 yrs now, I can attest that a lot of security jobs definitely are warm body jobs But the security career field is a lot more vast than just uniformed “observe and report” Like my job, there’s plenty of security guard jobs that pay decently well should you decide to go further When I got out of the military, I started at Lockheed Martin as an EMT/Security guard making $26/hr brbrSure it was kinda warm body on some aspects, but the medical bit certainly wasn’t soul sucking lol Later I moved federal and now work for the DoD making about $30/hr not including OT with ok federal benefits There’s plenty of security jobs with the DOE, NSA, DHS, USMS, etc that pay beyond $30/hr+ if you don’t mind not doing too much and repetition I believe the DOE pays the most Some jobs require a clearance, some don’t brbrIf federal isn’t your thing, check with the state to see if they have any county security roles I have a friend that works as a security guard for Los Angeles county Decent pay (would be a lot better outside of LA) and good benefits for the work that he does brbrIf your looking for a desk role, Physical Security/Anti-Terrorism is a really Cush 9-5 office job that you can transition out of the uniform into amongst a lot of other office type roles And like Shane said, the job is great at allowing you to invest in yourself learning hard and soft skills and gaining certs
