I would say that for someone going to school , that if you are going to choose your degree make sure that everything is intentional and thoroughly thought out You should know what your strengths and weaknesses are before hand are at least figure it out in your first year in college The reason I say this is because unless you know people or have a ton of work experience in a particular fields it can become very difficult to land a high earning career I always suggest that many people will make sure to work in the field your going to school for nor have similar job titles in which you can have transferrable skill sets Most jobs nowadays require 5+ years of experience and some may even require additional knowledge in certain processes, skills , software , Microsoft officeSpeaking multiple languages help and having the required certifications of specialty in the area your looking to work in Please do not just choose a crappy as chipotle degree that's hackable because even though it may not lead you into huge debt , it may not get you the salary that you are looking to have The best thing I would suggest is to win by hacking the degree that will get you the most out of your money and will help provide a higher salary based opportunity While you are doing what you enjoy , you will also get paid for it as well Hack the degree that you really need not just take any degree The reason I say this is because at a Bachelors level your are trying to enter the entry level managerial position unless you have a relatable skill sets and work experience that is extremely difficult Further more will put you in a position to where a degree that should be worth a 90k salary your doing the entry level position for 60k, and that's where you put yourself in a financial loss and disadvantage Get your 60k through experience and get your degree hack in when you know what it is you truly want to do Overall definetly get your feet in the door and work your way up The more you know the more valuable you become Comment from : Steve Alexandre |

Read the link I posted below on the updated status of accreditation and recognition from the USDE This essentially puts an end to the monopolies that regional accreditation boards held in the past The USDE holds allbrAccreditors to the same standards and will no longer recognize accreditors by regional or national and all accreditors will be recognized as Institutionally accredited Comment from : keithsdrinker |

Dr Stumme, I would love for you to do a Video on the Best Colleges/Universities for Military and Veteran Students It is very sad that AMU/APUS (For Profit) is the top provider to Military Personnel for higher education This is upsetting to me since I know they are not a very good school and they are getting tons of military Tuition Assistance and GI Bill money from our Military and Veterans I have come across fellow veterans like myself that did not know about using their Joint Service Transcripts (JST) or to even check to see if they have credits from Air University/Community College of the Air Force and or Community College of the Navy Some colleges are very liberal about accepting military experiential credits and some are not It would be nice if you could help steer our Military and Veterans to good schools that will give the maximum credits and provide the best education possible Thank you for all that you do I enjoy your channel Just one more class until I graduate from Excelsior next semester Jim W Comment from : James Wright |

I did not see University of Arizona online on the list It seemed like more of a brick and mortar calling itself online now, but I found that transition familiar Also, without a doubt some of these colleges focus on "bankable" degrees and I was actually looking for something in the natural sciences area which you have to hunt around a bit to find Comment from : James G |

Why do you not review University of Phoenix???? Comment from : True Story YO! |
Another really good Video Just a thought - The assumption is that you go to grad school the best you can afford after hacking your undergrad But will the grad school you want or the top tier accept you if you graduate from UMPI, WGU or others on the list? Harvard accepts into their MBA and grad school graduates of their extension college if you maintain a minimum specified grade After fully hacking these Universities would you be able to get to Harvard Law, HBS or MIT for grad school? I wonder I'm more confident on if you graduate from Harvard Extension or maybe schools where you take your majors there like WGU than the full hack but thats just an impression - really important to know how you can be accepted to the post gread program you need as this hacking assumes you get later into a good post grad school thats more expensive and has a really good reputation specially to future employers Comment from : Francis de la Cruz |
Please talk about Walden University Comment from : Kyla Major |

Amazing video and you both have such a calming demeanor, it really puts my mind at ease with all of the big decisions ahead! Comment from : m0nkey |
From a senior citizen's point of view, Excelsior University is unworkable even though I have an associate's degree from an earlier iteration of the college in 1988 Now they make you take a cornerstone course which is mind-numbing in its format and later a capstone course which I assume is at the same level of stupidity I have withdrawn and am planning to enroll at my state's land grant university, Kansas State University The entire tone of the college has changed since it was privatized Comment from : Edward Haynes |
This is stellar Comment from : laurrwhit |

My wife is currently going to GCU for her master's and got her Bachelor's from GCU She's been miserable for the past couple of years They made her do almost 2 years because they didn't want to accept a bunch of classes she had taken while at Penn State University It's a big reason why I refused to go to GCU for my masters They do however have a very active alumni associationbrbrI go to UMGC and I am not thrilled I graduated from Temple University back in 2011 and decided to go back for a degree in Criminal Justice (current degree is in history) and wanting something more related to my job UMGC would NOT accept my police academy for transfer credit and made me go back to class for English and Mathematics Ultimately I ended up doing Sophia credits for transfer in those areasbrbrI recently reached out to UMPI regarding transfer with a copy of my police academy transcript They were more accepting and working with me to achieve the criminal justice degree and are making me take the higher level cj credits I look forward to getting my degree through them Comment from : Reginald Costanza |
Surprised there was no mention of how ancient and jenky the UMPI website is after the charter oaks remark I’ll be going to UMPI but def wish they had an SNHU quality website The Walmart reputation really turns me off about SNHU though Comment from : P Mc |
