I found out a week or two ago that the Klipsch SPL-120 (300W) was being discontinued and found it at B&H They had it on sale for $449 ($400 off) , but they had one used example for $35895 I couldn't pass it up It's replacing my 65W Polk 10" sub that was part of a satellite system I bought about 15 yrs ago I like the fact that the crossover is adjustable (but honestly I don't know if it's neutralized or not by using Audessey on my Denon AVR-X4700H I'm using it with my RP-600Mii L/R mains, R-34C center and old Polk surrounds for a 71 system Comment from : Gary Austen

If you have 500€/$ for a sub, there is next to no option for you that sounds decent I know thats a long shot but DIY a sub is pretty easy AND you get way more performance and quality out of your money There are Kits you can order online or just buy a list of a diy sub thats fairly good regarded in forums For like 500€/$ you COULD do a TIW 250 XS with the 50liter volume ( do the ported version ) that Visaton recommends on their own website Nothing wrong with that In germany we have the tamp E400 as an amp that would be miles ahead of anything included in a active sub and there u have it A really nice high end subwoofer Easily can perform on way more expensive subs Obviously i know that u many dislike building their own sub but you have to watch a teardown video of whats in the 500€/$ subs you can buy Its not great stuff Comment from : Chritzical plays
