Very nice pre-33 piece that you have there I also just started developing an interest in pre-33 gold, and had picked up my first St Gaudens double eagle I'll be doing a video on it shortly, and am having the same questions as you as to whether to grade it or not Fortunately for you, you have Uncle Numistacker nearby who can facilitate the grading process at a reasonable cost If I had such a resource, I would definitely send it in just to preserve it in it's current condition, as you mentionedbrbrPeace dollar gets my vote Thanks for providing such great reviews on your IFF segments!

The 13 stars represent the original coloniesThey were designed by Christian Gobrecht and are actually called Coronet Head Gold coinsThe 1882 (P) is not a key date It should grade at least AU50
