This video doesnt take into account that Verizon has accepted damages phones for a couple of years now, for full trade in, and often the trade in value for an 11 would be $400-800, and yes the carriers make that money back in premium plans, but how does that flood of damaged trade ins effect this whole cycle?

refurbished? i'm curious why the guy says that he has to sell the phones with bad components or bad batteries at a lossbrbrisn't the whole point of refurbishing to replace or repair old components so that the phone functions as intended when it reaches the buyer? when I buy a refurbished phone, i accept that it's not brand-new and it's not in perfect cosmetic shape, but i do expect ALL its functions to work as intended by the manufacturerbrbrunless he means cost of phone + cost of repairs > price at which he can flip the phone
