I feel like many schools could be teaching maths way better and making it more interesting Like in school they just want us to solve random problems without actually analysing things and thinking about it deeply like talking about concepts like infinity They show you how to solve the problem without actually explaining why this works so I do not understand maths - I can do it but I do not understand it

I was waiting for her to blow the childs mind by explaining that one jar can* have infinite glitter By choping the glitter into smaller glitter particles Grated this only works mathematically and ignores that particles finite size and scale (also the repelling force of charged particles) etc sure the sum would be infinitesimal but individually between each space more glitters could always be placed and so on forever

Anyone that disgrees should google steve patterson cantor was wrong I agree with Steve and think this is why there is much confusion on this topic There is no way to go beyond endless, or past limitless, or have a bigger everything These mathematicians are bending language and logic with this idea of "different sizes of infinity" In fact, infinity cannot have a size, anything with a size is finite by definition

infinity is one of my favourite topics, subjects, things, etc, of literally all time i just love learning about it, it's so incredibly interesting to me like the banach-tarski paradox, the mandelbrot set, hilberts paradox of the grand hotel, cantors diagonal arguement, all of it i love it so much! i'm pretty pleased with myself that I can understand and have discussed infinity in all of the levels in this video I wish i could take a university course in just discussing infinity, but this video will have to do

Man Being italian we just study all of college thing sets and calculus in middle school (13y old) But on the other hand our school system is too strict and stressing (but stille less than asian's) but on the other way I reckon that a more free school system makes passion getter more important and geniuses express themselves so I think that is still better I bit of a complex thing here I know

Take a lamp thats turned off, and put it in a room and set a timer for exactly 100 seconds Every time the remaining time on the timer is cut in half, flip the light switch on the lamp When the timer hits 50 secs, the lamp gets turned on, at 25 seconds remaining the lamp is off, at 125 seconds remaining its back on and so on and so forth When 100 seconds in the real world has passed, will the lamp be on or off?!?!?
