There's a few drivers these days that give W7's a run for their money Not everything is cookie cutter No proprietary tech in that Wolfram so that's a bad comparison You can get clear accurate bass out of a SI SQL driver at ⅕ the price And that's just one sub that comes to mind There are a few others

I was privileged to build a dual 13W7 system with a friend of mine, both W7s were bought for $400 total, and one was “blown” but actually just had detached terminals Resoldered and put them on a really nice ARC Audio amp with proper alternator and battery setup backing it that was deepest, and loudest system I have personally felt or heard There’s nothing like a proper JL setup

Owned many JLs over the decades-and like the brand I will say though, them Kapton coils gotta go Cookie Cutter stuff can take twice the power-which it will take to sound at par or better that a low-power JL product Love how I can make a Tiny box for their 12s and it literally only takes about 12cf to sound like you 2 or 3 more subs than what you have Cookie Cutter I need to make a 4cf box to sound like the JL in 12cf ported Efficiency
